ODI Tri-Series (Malaysia)

From what I read from cricinfo is that Mongia got singles and failed to protect the tailenders. The runrate wasn't that difficult to reach the target.

yeah lets just talk abit about the game and why india lost and australia won fair play to australia they continued on battling. india should of played pathan and maybe he could of made a impact but now before the champions trophy india need to stick with pathan and give him games in the chapions trophy and stop changing like england we have got enough good players for a top 11 unlike england who have struggle to find there best 11 so you cant understand why they change

yup.. i also read that article!!!

Alos Ajay Jadeja spoke to NDTV... Same question was aksed to him!!!

What he replied was,

" Dinesh is back to the team after 17 months!! Its really tough to make a comeback after a long time... He has made an excellent comeback.. Abt the strategy he was just trying to play naturally..... its harsh to comment on this that Mongia did not even think to give strike to number11 batsman against one of the best bowlers Lee "

This was what he said to NDTV!!!:)

Ah well. All this chopping and changing is getting to my head a fair bit, too. But then, Australia's doing it, too. Only they are succeeding. :D

The Indians were talking about the "all new" mental toughness training Chappell had made them go through. They really showed off the results and their preparation for the champions trophy in this tournament.
By the time world cup starts Greg will do so much of experimentaion that nobody in team India will know what is place in the team is and what role are they expected to play.
Considering the amount of talent he has its pathetic the team wants to keep Dhoni as a lower order batsman. One day Sehwag is a middle order batsman, the next he is back opening with Sachin. Yuvraj is treated like a crown prince just like his name. (He was out because he is unwell not because he played badly). The tailenders cant bat worth a damn and the coach is totally olivious to it.
Indians have never been flexible with their roles in the team. Indian players (who are more stars than sportsmen) do well when they are made to work in the same position. They cant adapt fast like the aussies.
Looks like Greg is on a mission to demolish team India with his knack for experimentaion. Like they say in hindi - Kauwa chala hans ki chaal apni bhi bhool baitha.

Good comeback by the Aussies again, Lee did a real good job and what more we didn't need McGrath to bowl his last 2 overs. I'm definitely liking moving Watson to the top now, gives that extra bowler and he did a fine job opening before.

Disappointing to see India get KOed of the tournament, but then I hope it has served the purpose of a warm-up for the CT and that the team performs a whole lot better in that.

I wouldnt have been surprised if the Aussies had not made the final as clearly they are not particularly interested in this series.

Easy guy, the batting's out of form a little bit. Also sometimes the credit should go to the opposition. India didn't play that bad, it's just that the Aussies were better today.
India should be able to come back well in the ICC matches on batting wickets.

Agreed! They don't seem interested in anything except the Ashes and World Cup maybe at the moment.

And what about the mini world cup?I think every match is important in international cricket its not football where you play club games against weaker teams and are not interested in trying full squad.Once you lose two three series in cricket everything looks different.

Well its us (windies) the darkhorses, the underdogs vs the might aussies. Question is can we do it 2 times in a row? There's nuthin which undermines this talented windies team, but the aussies will be the favourites. Interesting game ahead, hope it will be a fantastic one to finish off this enthralling tri-nations series!!
