Rugby League Official NRL 2010 thread

Uhm, I don't see how its sad. I love St George so much I hate other teams with a passion;
Melbourne
Cronulla
Bulldogs

It's part of loving a sport. If it happened to United I'd love it, Melbourne Victory I'd love it etc.

edit: I'm on a roll with my speedy replys tonight

Indeed haha. Was looking forward to a few minutes to google points to strengthen my argument  :laugh

And you love St. George so much, you have no empathy for other fans, etc? I don't reckon you'd be laughing too hard if St. George got stripped (not that they have anything to be stripped of). Plus, you obviously don't care that the sport you love is in a controversy, and the officials have no vision or understanding about spreading the game.

I'd be willing to bet money they wouldn't have done this to a Sydney team.

No wonder they've been dominating, spending MILLIONS more than they should.
This is just stupid, talk about over exaggerating. Don't they teach you maths? $340 000 a year, and 1.7 Million in total isn't millions.

They are spending over 700k this season. That's cheating. It's outrageous.

Mate, Melbourne are cheaters. We don't want that in our game thanks.

Also, St George have 15 premierships and 15 minor premierships. 11 in a row too thanks.

And how many since you were born? Actually, how many in the last thirty years?

Anyway, that's not the point. Rivalry is all good and well, but I don't see how you can actually feel benefited from the loss of fellow fans of a sport you love.

Losing fans of Melbourne = huge benefit.

Our last title was 1979. No I wasn't born then, but I don't see the point? Thats part of the clubs history. I love the club. The clubs history is a part of me.

Last 3 Anzac games combined score

St George 82-12 Roosters

25-6
29-0
28-6

fearsome tweak em all, fearsome tweak em all, Melbourne Brisbane, Roosters too, because we are the St George and we are the best, we are the St George so fearsome tweak all the rest!

Was a bloody good win.

Funny for a club in such turmoil, still got 23,000 in, better than some of your crowds. :D

And of course they got 23k. They were always going to come out and win by heaps and get a massive crowd.

Well it was either going to be really low or big. But it's not like its a shock you guys came out and hammered it. But whether you can keep doing it for 20 or so weeks is the question.

Manly 4 - 3 Referees

What a load of ████. GC stripped that easily.

This season has been terrible due to the quality of the refereeing. I am getting so annoyed cause the referees can't get a damn single decision right. They have 2 of them. Surely one of them can see that a ball was raked out, a 8 metre forward pass etc. There have been so many poor decisions this season, not only for Manly but for a lot of other clubs as well. The referees try to square up the penalty count as shown in most games where a side was dominating in the first half because they were getting a fair few penalties but then the referees try to square it up in the second which has so far resulted in come backs, in more games than not. The NRL better start getting some quality referees in over the next half of this season.

I feel your pain mate. If you've seen a warriors game, you know what I'm on about, refs have been a disgrace at best. Especially in that Panthers game:facepalm
I watched the GC Manly game, and yeah it was a strip, so that should've been a win to Manly. I hate decisions that change the end result.

Sounds like the Titans have benefited from the refs again. Oh well all I know is the Raiders aren't the only team blowing leads :)

As usual, expecting a one sided ANZAC test. Especially with all the Kiwi injuries.
What about Heremaia making the squad, he gave up rugby league 2 or 3 years ago to become a chef and know finds himself in the Kiwis
