Sir Richard Hadlee will be my first pick. He didn't play in Zimbabwe but his stats in Sri Lanka (4 matches) are brilliant. He also scored his highest score here.
226 runs at 56.50 in 5 innings - 1x100 (HS 151*)
27 wickets at 12.29 in 7 innings - 2x5wi, 1x10wm (BBI 5/29 , BBM 10/102)
Sachin Tendulkar
He has absurd stats in Bangladesh and UAE, scoring 820 runs in 9 innings, at an average of 136.66 with 5 centuries, and a 100% 50-100 conversion rate. Easily becomes my number 4.
My first pick is a non-local pick, and it is Sydney Barnes.
While the sample size is quite small, it sure is eye-catching. Sydney Barnes has 49 wickets in 4 Test matches in South Africa at an average of 10.93. His BBI is 9/103, and his BBM is 17/159. In eight innings, he has SEVEN 5-wicket hauls (in an innings) and in 4 Test matches he has THREE 10-wicket hauls (in a match). Outstanding numbers, irregardless of the sample size.
