however the other side accepted the offer of a forfeit, unless there's a bug it is not automatic.

But in my case, I was awarded the game without accepting any forfeit offer..I was playing with @arjwiz and it was during his 3rd Over, that I got 3rd successive Offer for forfeit (because of no balls and wides from him I think) and then automatically awarded the match without accepting it myself....It was strange, as we have played with each other quite often and we have this understanding among our Ranji League Group of not accepting forfeit offer even if we receive one..We still dont know what exactly happened there as it never before of after happened again..

Yup, as kushari mentioned, we had an auto-forfeit on that one occasion. That was the third time we had played each other, and I'm quite sure the previous two games (pre-patch) also had 3 or 4 forfeits offered in each game, but none were auto-accepted.

I know you said you're looking into this. Just clarifying it once again.

I don't know if the otehr side accepted the forfeit or not (I don't know them) so I'm not gonna comment on that.

My issue(s) were:

1) I would like the forfeit triggers to be eased a little given the lack of bowling HUD.

2) While I did bowl the no-balls ; the offer for the forfeit itself was triggered when I hit the batsman's pad twice and called a wide both times - this clearly is a bug and not just an annoying one which cost me a couple of runs but one which; combined with the tight forfeit triggers; cost me the entire match...

Wow. What an online match,
Ran a long cable up the stairs to see if that made a difference and I had no problems at all with the connection.
I won off the final ball via the third umpire. Cricket. Bloody hell.

Major gripe about the fields though; think I saw @MattW mention this. The only time I could check the field was just before he changed it. I had no idea where the fielders were for throughout my innings. I kept holding L2 and bowler would just run in anyway.

Had half a game with someone from tru blu (i am assuming as he took the tru blu team). Had to go out after one innings so saved it. It worked flawlessly without any lags. My location is USA while i believe he is in australia (?). Anyway did not have any issue at all. I should add my ps3 is wireless with a static ip.

Problem is creating a custom match. I can't seem to join anyone who created a custom game or anyone joining my hosted game. Failed with mikey the other day and failed to join a friend in canada today.

@HBK619 will PM you.

I think this might have been asked before but I don't remember the workaround..how do we "save and continue" in online?

Online Matches

Hi All,

i was hoping for some help with the online custom matches, when setting up the game there is nothing to indicate the bowling meter which is in the top left hand of the screen isn't going to be there but once the match starts its not there and no way to put it on!

Is there a way around this? Am i missing a simple setting? i looked everywhere!

If not it seems highly unfair as that is a major disadvantage to the bowlers whereas from a batting perspective there is nothing to make that harder at all!

Bowling meters are not a feature of online mode.

Batsmen don't see coloured rings around the ball IIRC - I could be wrong on this.

Very painful
Fair Play points for users after each match given to each opponent through a blind fold system so that they cant see what the other has given till they also rate the opponent.

So that we will know how good its to play with an opponent like whether they use cheap tactics like short pitch sponge balls, excessive appealing or field changing etc. and rate accordingly.

^^this along with the system i said before would make online a much more enjoyable experience.

I think people who lose the match and see it through or forfeit, should be rewarded something like FAIR play points, giving them a rating and should be part of the leader-board and match up board.

So the more fairplay points, the more likely they are to see through the match.
They should also be rewarded with a small badge after they reach fairplay milestones as this would keep them motivated, also BA could offer the people with high FAir play score something as reward.

This could help in giving better experience for people online.

The best way to go forward would not be to punish the quitters but reward the survivors.
@Ross will it be possible to integrate something like this .
