Good bowling by Australia to defend that relatively low total. Nice pres as always Arslaan, keep it up mate :)

Easy 33 run win for Australia. Aussies openers were just too good, although the Kiwi's got most of their batsman to get a decent start but coudn't convert.

Good stuff mate. :)

Well looking at Kiwi scores it looks like and easy win for the Aussies . haydos played well but surprised to see Taylor open . Great update Arslaan . Keep them coming and congrats on 300 post :clap

Gillespie Injury Update

New Zealand fast bowler Mark Gillespie was rushed to Hospital yesterday during fielding a ball near the boundary.

The 28 year-old has a suspected crack in his index finger on his right hand, however this is not certain. Gillespie is supposed to be returning in time for New Zealand's 3rd and final match with Australia.

England v South Africa, 4th ODI, Lord's
Pietersen stars in All-round Performance

31 August, 2008

South Africa 234 for 4 (Smith 81, Gibbs 53, Kallis 46 | Broad 1-29, Pietersen 1-40, Patel 1-52) lost to England 235 for 4 (*Pietersen 70, Collingwood 59, Bell 33 | M.Morkel 3-47, Ntini 1-44) by 6 Wickets

England went into todays ODI knowing that the Series was won. For the South Africans there was a positive note that Graeme Smith was back from his minor Tennis Elbow injury.

Winning the toss, Kevin Pietersen elected to bowl first on a dry wicket. The wicket was not going to favour nor batsmen nor bowler so it was set up to be an interesting match.

South Africa had the best opening start of the tournament with Smith and Gibbs attacking the England bowlers. Smith was the aggressor from the two.

The England bowlers were not bowling with their usual line and length as Smith and Gibbs continued to punish the helpless bowlers. The 100 partnership was brought up simultaneously with Smith's 50 off 53 deliveries. The was a look of concern on Pietersen's face which the England fans were not familiar with. Fresh from his 5 Wicket-haul Pietersen brought on Samit Patel. He yet again worked his magic as he trapped the South African captain in-front for 81.

Gibbs brought his half-century but he too was trapped in front but this time by Stuart Broad. Jaques Kallis and AB de Villiers came to the crease with South Africa 152/2 with 16 overs left. Kallis, who is out of form started off well hitting Anderson for 2 consecutive boundaries and then rotating the strike to his partner. However, de Villiers was finding it difficult to score. Pietersen was allowing Kallis to give the single to de Villiers so they can apply pressure on him.

This applied pressure on Kallis at the other end. Eventually de Villiers was run out by Flintoff in his Innings of 25. At this stage South Africa were 203/3 off 44 Overs. Kallis also departed as he was the third batsmen to be trapped in front but this time it was the captain himself Pietersen who took the wicket.

Some late-hitting from J.P Duminy and a boundary off the last ball of the Innings by Mark Boucher brought South Africa to 234/4 in their 50 Overs.

Captain Graeme Smith top scored with an aggressive 81

England's reply started off very well with Bell and Prior once again taking advantage of the 15 Powerplay overs. Bell and Prior continued their fine form but Prior departed just as England reached the fifty run mark. Prior was caught in front by Morne Morkel as he tried to get the ball down to Fine-Leg.

Ian Bell was dismissed in the same fashion but he ducked to a ball that kept low. With England 86/2, the game was up for grabs for both teams. Thats when captain Kevin Pietersen strode out to the middle. He took the attack to Albie Morkel smashing 14 off his first over. At the other end Albie's brother got his third victim and it was yet another LBW. Shah was beaten for pace as the ball thudded into his pads. Shah knew he was gone and walked straight away. With England now 106/3 the South Africans were mounting the pressure on England. Pietersen was in a attacking mode and took the attack to Albie Morkel and Johan Botha. Collingwood also got himself settled and started playing some shots. With the boundaries flowing quick and fast, the South Africans knew they had to get a wicket. Pietersen reached his half-century and continued to attack.

At the 40 over mark England had reached 219/3. Collingwood departed after mistiming a cover-drive and was caught at cover by Albie Morkel however this was a consolation wicket for the South Africans. Andrew Flintoff finished the game in style smashing a boundary straight back Dale Steyn's head.

Pietersen ended with 70 off 55 balls with two sixes and 6 fours whilst Flintoff ended with 8 off 8 balls with 1 four

Captain Kevin Pietersen remained not out on 70 off 55 balls

Result: England won by 6 wickets and lead the 5-Match Series 4-0.
Man Of The Match: Kevin Pietersen

England are thrashing the Saffers. Pietersen was in good form but none of the bowlers stood out for me.

Enough of this Arslaan. If you actually do continue this (always unlikely for you :p) I'll be having competition come next years PC Awards :mad

Great stuff mate ;)
