Gilly saved Australia there. A defendable score for the Australians. I am really suprised no spinner has been included into the Australian team.

Yeah I kinda made the lineups myself I'm not fond of spinners in this game, hence me not having Kanaria their useless and boring, also I'm glad Gilly didn't get out it would have been well easy then!

I get quite a few lbw's I got this one by luck I bowled a straight bowl and it nipped back, caught him right in front.

Australia vs Pakistan 1st Test, Day One - End Of Innings!

Well after you read this you'll know this has been a exciting day of test cricket. Australia looked in all sorts of trouble with wickets falling, and wickets kept falling as Hussey went then Clarke and then Symonds all fairy quickly to nothing strokes and the Aussies were all over the place, with a low score compared to their standards they look in the deep end of the pool...

But it was Adam Gilchrist who stole the show, at first he looked in trouble when Sami trapped him in appeal for lbw which you could say was arguable it seemed to be clipping off but who knows?

He then started his onslaught although it wasn't blatently obvious that he was pileing up the runs but then it did become obvious in the end the where he was smashing boundaries around everywhere and eventually got to a splended 100 and has guided Australia to a much more respectable total and the the pressures on Pakistan now if they lose 2-3 wickets then it could be game well over, here's some highlights of Gilly...

AG: Hey there. Well I don't really know I tried to play my natural game but also play it sensibley which can get a bit hard I suppose but it came of fine today!

MN: Well you were in with the top order for a small time after they departed it seemed you decided to attack?

AG: Ah yeah as soon as Pup got out I thought I'd better go after the Pakistani pacers, I hoped Bret would stay in for a bit but it wasnt to be, and I kept on going and got to a risky 100 would have been nice if it lasted a bit longer though.

MN: Well thanks there Adam and best of luck in the field tommorow. Now then the score is set for Pakistan and the you guns up top will have to fire big time if anythings to become of this test in their eyes. I suppose after all it's a good thing they
have Afridi in their side...

I Want to Ask u one thing its geat presentation but Adam Gilchrist made 134 but no other batsmen mabe even 20 runs how its possiable i mean any of batsman have at lease 20 or 30 runs and partneship with AG

You don't need to score runs to have a partnership with someone. If Gilly made his 134 and someone made 2 off 300 balls then thats a partnership. Bear in mind the other batter just has to stay there to keep the partnership going, not score runs.

Australia v Pakistan 1st Test, Day One - End Of Play!

The Pakistani batsman came out probably a bit under pressure and suffering from a few nerves well I would be to, the Australian bowling attack is the most feared to date and the young openers had their word cut out for them. They know aswell as we do they have to make an impack to get something out of this tour and well they had a cagey opening very tentative but they got through it pretty darn well...

The cagey opening I mentioned was soon to be forgotten as Salman Butt and Imran Nazir started to weild their bats nicley scoring some real confidence boosting boundaries. Our eye was on Nazir mainly as we know when he gets going he starts to loft the ball quite a bit but this wasn't the case this afternoon, he controlled himself and hit what was ment to be hit and he's suceeded to last the night!

Salman Butt, well he's a class act and he's proved it in the ODI arena and I suppose a little bit in the Test arena but he like Nazir has controlled himself we've seen him fishing outside offstump with nothing shots, the ones where even if the ball did connect it wouldn't be of any use. But he's not done that the Australian's have been peppering him with juicey balls outside the offstump he's gone after a few and boy he'll be glad that he did some of his cover driving has been immense and a joy to watch.

All in all we can't wait for tommorow to begin it has been setup will the Pakistani's suceed in posting a big total or will it rain wickets tommorow for the Australians? Wait and see right here on 'Channed Nine'!
