i thought the vast majority of indians loved v.v.s... or are you just a part of that small minority? ive always felt that he is himself, like the player of his potential when he plays australia, and everyone else then hes just in bad form or something. he tends to lift his game up playing the aussies

I dont think playing against the Aussies is alone enough.. Its just that the Aussies have not bowled well to him. Or else, how can you explain his great performance against the best team in the world but he fails against other low ranked teams??

I dont know how big Laxman's fan club is. But I am not a fan of him, thats all!

i think your being too hard on laxman and if he does get dropped i daught kaif will play it will probably be yuvraj

I dont think Yuvraj will play. He has been released to play for Punjab. I think they might go in with Kaif if Laxman is unfit!

Laxman is playing today.
I found Yuvraj's name in the squard & not Kaif's.

Ganguly and Laxman, unfortunately are currently the weaknesses of the Indian line-up. Gambhir and Sehwag are a tough opening combination, and Sachin & Dravid are just incredible.

When the 3rd wicket falls, India get into a real trouble. Ganguly comes and goes as if he came to only examine the pitch and VVS makes you feel batting is like walking on burning coals.

Its only left to keeper and tailenders to score runs thereafter.

In first test, India hardly got 200 runs after losing 3rd wicket.
In 2nd test's I innings, India didn't even get 150, since 3rd wicket fell.
In 2nd test's II innings, Karthik's 93 helped India out, but what about the specalists?

The stupid thing about BCCI is that they generally don't drop a player, but when they drop him they drop him forever or for too long.

But, both Dada and Laxman should take responsibility and play good knocks to ensure their critics don't get chances.

It's easy to say both Ganguly and Laxman should take responsibility and make a few big scores, but it's not really that easy if you're in a form slump as we've seen from Matty Hayden.

Inzy and Younis Khan have played quite superbly for their hundred's, to say Pakistan were 7-2 at one stage, those two are slowly taking the game away from India and increasing their chances of a victory.

Current Partnership: 278 runs, 77.1 overs, RR: 3.60
this now is the highest partnership for any wicket by any team
against India in India!

I am hoping for a draw so that I get my prediction(in the poll) right :)

Unless pakistan bowl uncharictalistically well, then a draw seems them most obvious result

3rd Test Stumps Day 1

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first

Pakistan 1st Inning 323/2 (Inzi 184*, Younis Khan 127*)

Double celebration: Inzamam-ul-Haq reaches his hundred in his 100th Test

Revise odds after Day 1

Odds:

India - 10/1
Draw - 4/7
Pakistan - 13/8

Betting will be open until 25th March at 3:30 GMT.

Haha the Ganguly quote is right on the mark. He ducks at least three times every over to make sure he examines the pitch well enough. To get close to it. And then he verifies Newton's Laws of Physics by top-edging a hook shot to see if the ball will in fact fall to the ground.

Who will not bet on India with odds like that?

100 in his 100th test for Inzy, great stuff from inzy
You might as well say 200 in his 100th test at the rate he is going. Lara would be hoping that Inzy doesn't play 200 tests, then!
