Yes,ur right. But balaji has always been good against Pakistan.

Sachin says he's fully fit.

I think the indian team chosen is a good strong team... but they have to continue the same form as they did in the challenger and duleep trophy espically ganully and dravid. Hindustan Zindabad!

I saw the team list again & found out one flaw. There are 4 seamers & only 2 full-time spiners.

We need more spiners when playing in India.Murali Kartik could have been there instead of Nehra.

bharat I think you're right, Murali Kartik could have been there instead of A. Nehra, but that squad is only for the first test match... I'm sure they're goina change it for the next match if they think they need to... And Murali Kartik is a good player, he played well against Australia and he was the man of the match in the 4th test match... Any way just wish that india win and all the pakistani players get out cheaply... Hindustan Zindiabad!!!

It wouldn't be fun if they get out cheeply. There must be a real fight but atlast India Wins

I think this is probably the squad for the first 2 matches or something. Anyway, being the home team India can really substitute a member into the squad at any point before a match. If Balaji/Nehra bowl badly they can be replaced by someone else. Isn't one of the first two games in Bangalore? That's a pretty green pitch, I think.

I think there is a flaw in the scheduling of the test matches. India should have played the first match at Kolkata than Mohali. The Mohali pitch always assists fast bowlers and the dew factor also helps the bowling side in the morning. I think if India get off on the wrong foot in the first test (taking into the account that India has not played international cricket for more than 2 months now) then they will be playing a catching-up game rather than dictating the terms from the word-go.

One of the principal reasons why Pakistan did not do well down under was because they lost the first test at Perth heavily and that took a heavy toll on their players not so much physically but mentally. I am taking nothing away from Indians but had they played in Perth when they went to Aus in 2003 then the series might have favored Aus little bit more.

I don't agree Rahul. With Zaheer showing signs of getting back to his best and Irfan, Balaji who played match winning roles in Pakistan, I don't think India should mind a pitch with little pace and bounce at all. in fact this is something more of us would like to see. With Indian batting lineup looking much stronger than Pakistan's I think India has a good chance of gaining a early lead.

Yes. India can face the Pakistani bowlers on the Mohali wicket. The fear factor of Akthar is gone (Akthar's pace on a fast wicket is fearsome always!). India have Dravid, Gambhir, Sachin and Laxman who can withstand the early fast bowling!

that's right..and Don't forget Veeru who wasn't botherd at all by Shoaib's pace in the last series :p

Yeah Shailesh I think you are right... Veeru bhai is our main batsman to kill pakistani bowlng...

that's right..with Viru faster you bowl faster it disappears..over thirdman etc at times :D
