Shahid what do you think about Arshad Khan?

I guess he's the best we have left. I read he was doing decently in the domestic team. He's had international exposure before so I guess thats a good thing. I would dearly love to see Saqlain back in business with his doosra and teesra or whatever, but somehow he has been out of favor and now with the injury who knows when he will be back. They might want to consider using Afridi as a mainline spinner too, and with Kaneria and Shoaib Malik (is he cleared yet??) we have enough spinners for this tour.

Maybe the attack would have been better, but I prefer him out of the team. He says its because he doesnt want to take a chance with his injury, but I suspect this may have been a diplomatic move by the Board to withdraw him from the team. But thats speculation at best. It would be interesting to see how he does on the next tour. I believe the next tour is when we go to West Indies. Shoaib has sat out this tour to bring his fitness up to par, and if he goes to the WI and breaks down after sending 15 overs, then we KNOW its not his godd*amn health but his brain that needs a working over. If Pakistan still persists with pampering him after that then its just going to be a case of "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." Although when Shoaib is concerned, the Board has already tolerated him on more than a few such occasions and he keeps coming back and fuc*king the Paki public. Maybe someday we will open our eyes.

Dont you think so? I am damn sure he is biased against India. You can just not count the no. of decisions he has given against Indian batsmen and most of them have had an influence in the outcome of the match!

just because he has umpired for 10 years or so doesnt mean that he is the best umpire around,I would rate umpire shepnear more then steve bucknor,

let's say there have been plenty of incidences to suggest that..having said that don't think he is going to favor Pakistan so in the end (hopefully) he will be neutral just like he is supposed to be.

Exactly. He certainly has a grudge against Indians. One can be wrong once, twice, thrice, four times... even 10 times but his atrocious decisions when the batsmen are not out and not obliging even with the raised finger on the most obvious decisions are infamously famous. Him mocking R. dravid after the lozenge incident was very unprofessional. This guy is on the field to make sure that there is gentlemanly conduct on the field and he himself makes such actions... Pathetic!! How would S. Warne feel if Venkatraghavan imitates taking drugs when he sees S. Warne. Will the Aussies accept that??

S. Bucknor definately has a grudge against Indians. I do not know why but he has it for sure. I just hope that the result of the upcoming Test series (or a Test match) is not tilted towards Pakistan due to some horrendous decisions by Frucknor.

You think so because Australia is comfortably beating every team in the world. Try being in indian's or Pakiatan's shoes. They get close to making history but are denied (not once but repeatedly) by one person who is not even in the opposition XI.

Shepnear... yeah....

But really, I didn't think there would be so much anti-Bucknor sentiment in the Indian community, even enough to be calling a respectable man "Frucknor". I guess we will just have to see how he does in this series.

Parthiv Patel would be thanking God for him not being in the squad(whenever it is declared). That final test in Sydney was horrendous for him. Poor fellow didn't know which way the ball was going and on the top of it he couldn't make out why that tall headmaster at the other end was screaming at him...

I seriously think that age is catching up with Bucknor faster than other oldies in the trade...or it is just a self-image problem. But his umpiring has been pathetic at the best in some matches and it was only a mere coincidence that India were the side on the receiving end of those blemishes.
