Pakistan in South Africa

man kaneria must be really wanting to knock out akmal

when he missed the stumping considering kanerias reaction it wouldnt have surprised me if akmal had ended up in hospital

thing is he droped or missed stumpings of Kanerias bowling atleast 4 times this series and for a keeper thats considered to be the future thats just sad. hes not good behind the stumps and hes ok with the bat which dont make him a good keeper in my books.

Pakistan should most definitely try ZQ in this tour. Akmal has been sub standard for too long now. And as Dare points out correctly, most of his mistakes have been at Kaneria's bowling and his average has surely suffered.

We played over there last summer. A few of the pitches were bad then too. South Africa have produced some shocking pitches recently.

South Africa is a big spot of bother at the moment, Graeme Smith ain't his best, and God knows when he will ever come right again?, he doesn't have a good opening partner cause AB is slacking, Dippenaar hasn't had a good knock since May last year and poor old Amla has to come in when there falls a wicket and guess what, Amla comes in, so far in the Indian series and Pakistani series about in a over or better two balls Amla had to deal with the new cherry red...is this a good way of exposing young talent? what about this guys confidence?

The solution, well okay we can't use him anymore cause he is unavailable for the next two years, Jacques Rudolph, he is calm, can handle pressure, he did in Australia by knocking in a test saving 100, but why haven't SA remain with him?....the same goes with Dippenaar, he and Smith made good partnerships in the ODI and this guy can bat down at 4 5 6 or even fill in that 3 spot as Kallis has cemented that number 4 spot

1. Graeme Smith
2.AB De Villiers
3.Boeta Dippenaar
4.Jacques Kallis
5.Ashwell Prince
6.Herschelle Gibbs
7.Mark Boucher
8.Shaun Pollock
9.Paul Harris
10.Andre Nel
11.Makhaya Ntini

as for the ODI series, I still pitty Pakistan even if SA are without Pollock and Nel

Gibbs is batting far too low for me in your lineup. I'd have him at 3, Kallis 4, Amla/Rudolph 4 and Prince 5.

Afridi, Nazir, Shabir and Razzaq are back for the ODIs. Shoaib Malik also returns and Abdur Rehman gets to proove himself overseas, this should definately be a entertaining ODI series.

i like Saqlain as much as you do but i dont think he has a chance of coming back to the squad, hes knees arent as good as they used to be and he hasnt shown anything to sugest a recall.

It seems as if Pak is going in with a specialist one-day team to tackle SA.
Remember the CHampions Trophy defeat must be on their minds.

well...121/7...inzi goes...pakistans real hope is gone...i would be surprised if they got a lead of even 150 now...

id be suprised if the lead goes to 120, I think its time for Inzi to retire after the world cup and pass the captancy to Younis. He has strugled for the past year with both injuries and batting.

why is big inzi batting so low? hiding from the new ball again?

hes been batting this low for a while now, usualy at 5 but since Hameed came into the side hes been the pushed to 6. i gues he was considered the protection incase the middle order fails which it did.

edit- i take back what i said Sami and Nazir pushed the lead to 160 giving Pakistan a fighting chance biggest partnership of the day came from those 2. now if pakistan can get a quick couple wickets and let kaneria do his work maybe they have a chance.

yup...that is def. the idea...what a pertnership between Sami and Nazir...comin at a cruical time as well...55 runs...but a lead of 160 doesn't look good...but Asif and Kaneria can sill turn the tables around...
