Today was a very surprising day where, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced the squad for the 2006 ODI series in Sri Lanka. Inzamam-ul-Haq will not be available for the series as he is Playing for the World XI in ICC Super Series 2006.



Younis Khan has been named as the team Captain, where Mohammad
Yousuf refused to be vice-captain, so it is now Imran Farhat. Rana
Naved is facing a elbow injury so he was not named.

The Rain takes over the First ODI

The first ODI that was held in Premadasa International Stadium got washed out by the heavy rain, the rain started when the two captains Marvan Atapattu and Younis Khan with the umpires where in the middle for the coin toss.

The Umpires Billy Bowden and Rudi Koertzen after having a discussion decided to come out, so the match was abounded, So the Match stays 0-0 with 2 ODIs to go.
