Welcome To The 1st Pepsi Cup Match Between India And West Indies At Nagpur

S.M: Hello and welcome to the opening match between India and the West Indies played here at Nagpur today.
WEATHER REPORT:
Excellent, hot dry day. Day game today.
PITCH REPORT AND TOSS
Ian Bishop is down there.
IB: Thanks Sanjay. This game is going to be a day match. That means there will be no dew. The wicket looks dry with quite a few cracks in aswell. This will be a good day for Mohammad and Harbhajan. Around 260-280 is a great target. Back to you Sanjay.
S.M: Thanks Bish, now Paul Allott is down there with the Toss.
P.A: Thanks Sanjay. I am joined by both team captains here for the toss. Chris to call..........he calls heads............it's tails!!
P.A: So Rahul what do you want to do?
R.D: I think we will have a bat first to take advantage of the pitch as later on there will be more rough patches and cracks and that could help our spinners turn it more.
P.A: Sehwag out, who have you called in?
R.D: Yeah we have given Sehwag a break and decided to give Robin Uttappa and Gautham Gambhir a chance to open the batting.
P.A: Ok, thanks Rahul and best of luck in the match.
R.D: Ok thanks.
P.A: Well Brian, looks like your fielding first.
B.L: Yeah were not that chuffed to be bowling first so we'll see how we get on in the first 15 and then take it from there.
P.A: No, Ramnaresh Sarwan who have you included?
B.L: Yeah it's unfortunate that Sarwan isn't in this series but we have included Devon Smith and Dave Mohammad.
P.A: Ok thanks Brian and best of luck in the match.
B.: Thanks very much
P.A: So the news from here is that Rahul Dravid has won the toss and elected to Bat first
.

never heard of the opener Uthappa, who is he???

He is a very good front foot player but he was not given chance much inspite his great debut where he made 80+ ( i guess that was in debut only though not sure )! He has played only three matches so far..

I am backing India here but Tendulkar at no4 is a great risk! Gud Luck for India:)

End Of The 15 Overs!!!!

India have played the first 15 overs without losing either Robin Uthappa nor Rahul Dravid. They both have lokked in fine nick.
