From the sounds of what's been going on in the media - Ahmed Shehzad had a TV contract that he rejected to play the National T20 (where he has scored 4 back-to-back half-centuries and is the second-highest run-getter). Shoaib Malik making a bid for the WC squad and is playing as well - recently blasted 80+.

One criticism of the Pakistan T2o cup is how poor the quality of the players is - Larkana's side looked like an over 50's side. Farhan hit a 100 against them and that helped him push for a spot as well.

Salman was always going to be heavily criticized - that's a known fact. If you wanted to hire him should have gone for it and backed on. Hiring and firing make it look like you have no backbone whatsoever.

I hope that Saim Ayub and the likes make it into XI. Ihsanullah and Abbas Afridi should be coming to the side and the likes of Shaheen and Rauf need a mental break. They can't play everything back to back.

T20 WC is in West Indies and the US so those pitches are quite slow and ideal for spinners - so having Shoaib Malik isn't a bad shout. He is still a beast against spin bowling - its just fast bowling where he looks like someone has asked him to bat for his life. Plus, our captaincy has been to flat - maybe bringing in the likes of Malik might not to be too bad for Babar to be more attacking and proactive. Ifti isn't the best player of spin.
