Pakistan tour of Australia (Dec 2016 - Jan 2017)

It will happen. You have zero good spinners, and only one or two good players of spin.

By the way, Ian Chappell is such an idiot. "If Pakistan play like this, Australia should stop inviting them". Then all the Asian sides should stop inviting Australia, because they're shit in Asia.
Australia is a very tough tour. Chappell is also harsh on this. It could also be fatour perhaps too. Pakistan haven't had a good break for a while, considering that big tour of England then playing West Indies THEN NZ and now to very tough tour of Australia. Now, the bowlera are not entirely to blame. Batsmen played well, but some bad shots were played as well, with Misbah trying to slog sweep Lyon even though it was not nesscery. But to be honest, any good team can fail too. I am sure after some rest, the team will play at its best again.

Don't worry Pakistani fans, Ashwin and Jadeja will crush this Aus team into pieces.;)

India tours once in 4/5 years like with any other tour. Pakistan`s tours were in 1999/2000, 2004/5, 2009/10 and 2016 whereas India toured in 1999/2000, 2003/4, 2007/8, 2011 and 2014. Its just the last two tours for Pakistan that have been staggered and I think that has been because of the Ashes cycle changing in the interim and those back-to-back Ashes series.

I maintain this, If Australia were to play Pakistan in UAE next week, they would lose 3-0.

Yup the gap was a lot this time touring Australia..[DOUBLEPOST=1483939831][/DOUBLEPOST]Hafeez has been called-up in the ODI squad. I think probably because of his bowling egde. Pakistan needed Shehzad as well in the opening slot as much as anyone. It will be interesting to see how Azhar Ali makes combination. He should go at number 3 in my opinion. Sharjeel and Hafeez should open the innings, Though Hafeez is having a poorest run form wise off-late...

Not a fan of Shaun Marsh but,
Marsh average in Asia is good.
Khawaja should play !!!
Marsh in for Cartwright :) ...

Marsh is a proven failure at this level, there's no point picking him again. If he's picked, he'll score a fluke hundred in the first test followed by failures in the following tests. It will happen 200%, just watch. It's high time Australia left him behind and progressed.

Well can't argue with you on that :)

Junaid Khan has been recalled in place of Irfan. I hope Junaid will find in length and swing in Australia. Our one day team is quite balanced with fine bowling and batting attack, Australia is not anymore that Australia. If we play like a unit with right balance in the Final 11, we can win this series! My XI for the first one day:

1. Sharjeel
2. Hafeez
3. Azhar Ali
4. Babar Azam
5. Shoaib Malik
6. Sarfraz Ahmed
7. Imad Wasim
8. M. Aamir
9. Wahab Riaz
10. Junaid Khan
11. Hasan Ali

Yeah Shaun Marsh is a donkey and he's about 34 years old it's time to keep with the younger players.

That'd be great!

There is no place for Azhar Ali in this ODI team, he is only blocking a place for some deserving youngster. Although its not going to happen but Pakistan needs a captain like Sarfraz in all three formats.
My ideal team for the ODI series is

Mohammad Hafeez
Sharjeel Khan
Babar Azam
Asad Shafiq/ Azhar Ali
Umar Akmal
Shoaib Malik
Sarfraz Ahmad
Imad Wasim
Wahab Riaz
Mohammad Aamir
Hassan Ali

With this team we can cover all conditions, as we were doing when Saeed Ajmal was playing. 3 genuine fast bowlers, 1 bowling all-rounder, 2 batting all-rounders, so all in all an excellent combination in my opinion.
Obviously Azhar is must since he is the captain so I will replace Asad Shafiq with Azhar Ali.

Let the Aussies come to India. May be Chappell can request CA to stop sending them to our shores after that hammering. They lost to an absolutely defeated and depleted SL in SL, FFS! I can't wait for that test series. Anything but 4-0 will not quench my thirst.

I think that's overconfidence. A month ago I would have probably agreed with it. But seeing the way England played and put India in a spot of bother many times makes me think otherwise. I would not rule out Australia at all.

Of course, India are "expected" to win but it's not a guarantee.

I think in England, you've got a far better and established batting line up than that of Australia. Warner and Smith should be good, but aside that it's going to be a circus. Specially, if the wickets are like those that SA got. Even with the ball, Starc aside it's a 'fill your boots' time for the locals.

And, if VK is in the mood he was in, god have mercy on those Aussie legs.

Hazlewood is pretty good too along with Starc.

The tour match today showed some promising signs for Pakistan. I hope they can replicate that performance against the actual Australian side.
