Pakistan Tour of England and Ireland - July/September 2016

Nothing is irritating me more than the stupid amount of courage on Mohammad Aamir. We get it, he has serviced his ban and is coming back. There is no need for an article a day for dozens of websites saying the same thing.
I think that's a blessing in disguise. It will make everyone forget about the fact that we have a world class leg spinner in our ranks too.

Cricinfo's preview says that Wahab will surely play while Rahat and Imran will fight it out for the last spot. However Yahya Husseini (journalist) says that Rahat and Imran will both play and Wahab will miss out. I'd be happy with either Wahab or Rahat. One gives control and tidiness, the other pace and heart. Imran has to play. We can't go with three left armers.

I will go with Rahat, Wahab and Amir. If we have 3 quality left armers, then why go with Imran Khan. Though Imran Khan is also a quality bowler but still I will go with Rahat Ali because he has more experience. Wahab can't be left out atleast in the 1st test matc, because he is the only genuine pace bowler. Also Wahab is very aggressive so it can help in certain stages of the game.

I disagree. You can't select three left armers. There needs to be variety in the bowling attack. We'll have to sacrifice one of Rahat and Wahab. Hopefully it's not Imran who gets axed.

No one following the game?

PAK is kicking A$$ right now .. what a partnership between Misbah and Asad. They could very well bat out the day, get to 400+ tomorrow and then unleash Amir

Very happy that misbah scored a century. That too at Lords. So far going well for Pakistan.

A good day for Pakistan considering its the first day of this tour but I feel Pakistan have given way too many soft wickets. Except Masood and probably Azhar (to me he was little unlucky), everyone has gifted the wicket to England. Hafeez and Younis got themselves settled but couldn't capitalized and same was the case with Asad Shafiq.
Now on 2nd day this Sarfraz, Misbah partnership will be crucial, they need to score atleast hundred and on this good pitch both have the ability to do so.
As far as England is concerned, they haven't bowled that well, too many wide deliveries specially to Misbah and Asad. Only Chris Woakes was bowling in the right areas and one can see that he was getting bounce and little swing so I hope new ball will cause some headache for England when Aamir and Rahat will bowl on this pitch.
Overall it was a balanced day for Pakistan but they need to stop making these silly mistakes (6/10). For England I feel it was a little below average day (4/10).

Misbah's selection was somewhat "LATE" in the team :(

Now he is 42 & only 62 test matches !

But anyways he's the best in the business for :pak: :)

Misbah is the true Pakistani legend really. The guy is just brilliant

What a knock, and at a brisk pace too - was knocking it at a SR of 70 for a good period of time. Slowed down towards the end especially after the new ball, which is the right thing to do

And thats why he's my favourite Pakistani Batsman....... *

It was because of Inzamam's ridiculous "religious policy".
