wtf. Wouldn't the question be why is he in the team? He's one of the best thinkers in Australian cricket. Obvious choice for captain.

20 20 matches always bring out the strangest comments. Bring on the tests, after watching the 5 odi's this 20 20 match sure felt weird to watch, it was nice seeing a 50 over innings unfold with the many periods of ball dominating then bat dominating. I dont know, 20 20 seems so contrived sometimes, one day cricket feels more like a test match especially with day games having a bit of juice on the pitch early on, that was so great to see recently.

This game ebbed and flowed too - the ball dominated for a while, then Umar and Malik dominated, then Australia came back, and it went like that for the entire game till the last 3-4 overs.

Not to say I don't agree with you, but this game certainly had different teams on top at different times in the game.

Shahzaib Hasan is just a slogger without any techinque. I'd rather see the back of him and get someone who can actually succeed in the long term. Give Akhtar one more shot at this. He was great in the Asia Cup and surely can bounce back. The only change I would say is that Hasan should be out for Amin/Alam. THough both the 2 mentioned havent had strong shows in the trip so far IIRC. Expect us to be unchanged.

True. But, credit to Gul for being able to bowl yorkers so consistently. One of the tougher things to do as a bowler in the limited over formats. He needs to improve his bowling in Test cricket, of course, but there are times when he bowls well in the longer format as well. He seems back in form again, and let's see if he can actually be effective in the Test series.

Good win for Pakistan - Umar Akmal showing once again why he's rated so highly. Needs to kick on and play bigger innings in the ODIs and Tests though.
