Amir was very good, but it was one of those games where the whole team's performance was what won it. It's often the case in T20 that nobody really dominates, especially if the bowling is successful, because it's just that hard to impose yourself in 4 overs. A good bowling performance usually means 3 or 4 bowlers getting it right.

It's incredibly strange to think that Clarke was probably the best batsman of either side, with six classy boundaries in his 30. That's probably going to be the most shocking thing for Australians in the morning. :laugh

I guess boundaries was hit by Butt as well and yes he was in great touch but unfortunately chops one on stumps.

Great performance by Pak. Afridi's magic is working on the team, and they are showing the same level of intensity. If they had the services of YoYo for tests, with Umar Akaml in the team, they would have been competitive. Specially with the deadly bowling attack....

I mean which country in the world would be spoiled for choice with one of Mohd. Asif, Mohd. Aamer, Umar Gul or Shoaib Akhtar not qualifying for the playing eleven. That is just mad!!! with that you have one of the best offie and leggie..... probably one of the best bowling attack Pakistan has ever produced... and that is saying a lot.....

In limited overs yes, that is a fantastic attack but its not for Test cricket. Asif and Aamer are the only decent Test bowlers on that list.

Afridi is already a leggie.... and DK is not a wicket taking bowler... he usually return figures of 2/100 or 5/300.... whats the use of taking 5 wickets if 300 runs are scored against you.... I would rather have an inform Ajmal any day.....

But look I don't think he should be playing T20 anyway. I'm yet to be convinced that anyone playing the other 2 formats should be played T20 for a couple of reasons. 1) Fatigue and 2) Playing style eg. if Clarke's Test game starts to suffer because he's working on T20 technique in the nets - I don't think that's right. I think an international T20 squad would be a great developmental squad for new players or a good squad for older players who have proven one dimensional or injury prone. So I'd be saying goodbye Watson, M.Hussey, Clarke, Johnson, Haddin and probably Steve Smith too. On tours you might give them a game, as flying over specialists for 2 games might be a bit stupid, but during a home summer they should all be rested IMHO. There's plenty of other good players. Great Win there. Some decent stuff from the batsmen and Aamir's two sixes helped us in the end. The bowling was tight and Gul showed us how much we missed him in the WC. Shahzaib should now be nowhere near our T20 team, probably Akmal to open and get another batsman in there.

The TEST are the big ones. Only 2? Should go with
