The problem is that even though we have them at a 100/4 (effective 200 for 4), another 50 runs and there's no way this battign order can chase that total unless the sun comes up.
Don't agree with Afridi's gameplan. The fact that he's the captain should mean he should bat with responsibility. Number 6 is a proper batting position, to say that he should slog because he can't survive is rubbish. He's not supposed to be a number 10 whom you ask to have a go. Those 30 runs were useless and if he thought that he couldn't survive the conditions, then he really shouldn't be playing Test cricket. It's not like he can bowl with any penetration in this format nor is he much of an innovative captain. We don't need to play him just because he's a good cheerleader. Either act the part of captain and a number 6 batsman, or give it up.
I thought Butt batted well, should've kept more strike after Afridi, because number 9-11 are basically all number 11s. Tht being said, he was the only one who played sensibly so criticism shouldn't be thrown his way. Umar Amin as I feared, got out early while this being the first time I've seen Azhar Ali, I'm not convinced either way as of yet with regards to his batting.
Didn't expect much from Kamran, I'm just surprised he hasn't dropped a sitter yet.
The bowlers haev all had their moments, Asif being the pick of the attack but realistically speaking, there's little chance of us winning the match unless Umar Akmal or Butt make a century.
Serves the PCB right in a way for not taking one of the best middle order duo in recent years.
