Pakistani Tour of New Zealand, Dec-Feb 2010/11

Pakistan have plenty of bowlers who can fill in for Amir and Asif. The big worry is still the lack of batsmen.

Younis Khan really needs to come back. With the World Cup nearing and Pakistan still don't having young quality batsmen they need some confidence in the middle order.

Why did they bring Yousuf all the way from Pakistan?
They could have just called apon Younis..
I agree with you Zahid that younis should come back.
But i think Afridi is doing great with his job. Younis should join Pakistan team as a batsman.

they need both yousuf and younis, i have a feeling that younis will be back for the tour against NZ.

So with two pathetic sub continent tours ending this series will now be interesting!

Pakistan is played good cricket against the Proteans!!

The Test series was a great example!

Also Newzealand must gain some confidence from this series. Home series and 6 ODI's!! jeez!! way too much

also 3 T20

Both countries have gone mad! :p

Yeah the 3 T20 s seems stupid. Why would you play so much cricket ? Also add 6 ODIs to that as well. Of late the boards seem to be scheduling series without applying common sense ,like the recent one in Srilanka.

Should definetly be an interesting series. NZ are in woeful form but Pakistan can never be the favorites, and I dont remember the last time they won a series. We SHOULD win this.

I guess it depends on how much they get offered to loose :po

The ICC should be extra careful with Twenty20, they are way more likely to be fixed or spot fixed. A lot of the "named" players from Majeed are still playing

I was going to go to the T20 match at Eden Park on Boxing day but I get back from Dunedin at 2pm which is the time the match starts :facepalm

i'll be going to the practice match (Auckland vs Pakistanis) on the 23rd, which most likely be free and we might get to talk to the players.

I wont be here on boxing day so i'll probably go to the 6th ODI if its a close series or NZ is owning Pakistan.

^Although Pakistan team is going through crisis, our quality of players is still a lot better than Kiwis. I expect Tanveer Ahmed to come good this series. Wahab Riaz may also be a handful in helpful conditions. Rehman bowled well against SA. He and Ajmal are good enough spinners against a team that found it hard to handle spin in India. Also absence of Kamran Akmal and Muhammad Yousaf is going to help our cause. I expect it to be a hard fought tour with Pakistan coming on top in all three formats. Test series however still can be a draw,

The Tests could very well go to the Kiwis. They have shown that they can do well in the longer format, they did challenge India in the first two tests. This time, the Kiwis will be on their home ground.
The ODIs' - both teams are highly unpredictable. Betting on a particular team would be tough.

The pitches here dont turn much, but Ajmal will prove a tough challenge in the test matches... not so much with the ODI's i think. Abdul Razzaq is the other dangerous player he has shown on numerous occassions he can win games single handedly.

This one should be close like the series late 2009. Not expecting the est quality of cricket though.

Holiday in Dunedin? How boring...
