Pakistani Tour of New Zealand, Dec-Feb 2010/11

I love it when it takes them ages to notice they're on the big screen and when they do, the camera changes to another are of the stadium.

Wtf was Franklin doing opening the bowling?? And where the heck is Bennett shouldn't he be opening? He would've been a handle with the new ball, good pace with a bit of bounce, Franklin shouldn't even be bowling.

Good bowling from Southee, although the conditions are pretty good for swing bowling. I'm more interested to see how he does with the older ball tbh. Thats if it gets that far...

----------

What is Pakistan doing winning the toss and batting?? It's pretty much perfect bowling conditions. They could do with around 220, 230 will be competitive.

Vettori said he would have batted if he won the toss as well - they just misjudged to conditions.

The commentators were saying that Franklin is opening to try and get swing because he wouldn't be very good bowling later on, as I mentioned previously.

Yeah I guess, hes a pretty bad bowler in most situations really. He probably just shouldn't bowl full stop. Bennett is looking really good here, could've done with a newer ball though...

You're being a bit harsh man, the conditions are pretty tough and pretty much perfect for our seam attack.

Well they have bowled a few of Franklin overs out which helps when the big guns come in. It's going to take some magic from them to get them to a good total.

I think it was a good move opening with Franklin, because he's our 6th/7th bowling option he'll only ever need to bowl a handful of overs, so because we've got 3/4 good overs out of him already, he won't need to bowl later on. If he got smashed in his first/second over, not much damage is really going to have been done at that early stage, so you can just go to our other pace bowler.

Southee and now Oram have looked really good, the conditions might be helping them, but you still have to put the ball in the right place.
