yeah agreed but still asad shafiq plays faster than youni and misbah and not a big concern about runrate openers are fast and furious and so our lower order

True - I say drop YK and Misbah, and play Asad Shafiq and Umar Gul (the bowling looks weak).

Asad being a youngster can run those quick singles and make 1s into 2s.

In seaming conditions (which somehow we always get in ICC events), we can use Razzaq as a 3rd seamer, and drop Tanvir / Riaz and add to the batting with Misbah or Ahmed Shehzad.

Also, it is imperative to note that Hafeez can bowl 10 overs if Afridi uses him correctly, and therefore our bowling resources (with no Tanvir/Riaz) would look like this:

3. Rehman / Ajmal
4. Razzaq
5. Afridi
6. Hafeez
7. Younus Khan

And my ideal team:

1. Ahmed Shehzad
2. Mohammad Hafeez

6. Kamran Akmal (floater - early wicket loss means comes in at 3, else 5 or 6)

Look i dont have any rivalry with razzaq but i think Afridi makes it worst by giving him the new ball.Field inside,no pace,less variations that is why he goes for plenty at times and in nzl small grounds so it can go worse

Well I'm making my team with one view on the world cup where the grounds will be bigger.

I think Razzaq bowling with the new ball is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as the field is set for Razzaq to be attacked (fine leg in, and square leg / deep midwicket), and fielders in circle set out.

We can get 3-4 cheap overs out from him, and if Akhtar is threatening, the batsman will look to attack him. Then Umar Gul can come and bowl, and if that doesn't work, just choke them with our spinning options.

hmm yes i think your right our problem is our batting so making it more strong by using razzaq as third seamer wont be too bad but still i wont give razzaq new ball.if you dont have the pace develop some variations and unfortunately razzaq doesn't have them

i knew it was gonnna happen no footwork at all
