Pakistani Tour of New Zealand, Dec-Feb 2010/11

What a tremendous team effort. Afridi hits back at critics with his wonderful smashing all over the park for huge sixes. I must mention about the courage of Umar Akmal, it was he who took the initiative of power hitting. Misbah has to be a bit fast in the batting. This isnt a cricket of 1990's.

Anyhow, good performance but I am not satisfied with the bowling. Shoaib Akhtar and one Spinner has to be there.

Love the balance of the PAK team. It looks so dangerous with Razzaq coming in @ # 8. While in Akhtar, Gul, Riaz you got 3 perfect wicket-taking seamers who can restrict & take wickets in the power-play/death overs. Definately my world cup dark-horses now.

To the Kiwi fans. How come McCullum isn't opening?

----------

Rare knock from Afridi that one. Glad that he still can play such.

Afridi is such a wasted talented. Give him the cricket brain of Shane Warne & he could have been the greatest spin-bowling all-rounder in all formats IMHO.

To the Kiwi fans. How come McCullum isn't opening?

they want guptill opening because he cant play spin bowling, and they want a proper batsman coming in at 6 who is agressive so he can finish things off at the end. He had his chance yesterday but was run-out by Oram, hopefully he gets another one sometime in this series.

They wanted to have a finisher down the order like the old days when McCullum would win matches with a quick half century

Excuse me?? But where Jesse Raider went? The player who performed so well in the first ODI. He can thrash the opposition on his day.

He wasn't really rested, as he went back and played domestic cricket.
It's more just rotation, as they wanted to test out How.

Ryder's not playing. Apparently something to do with his finger or something.

These two are doing pretty well at the moment :) Being nice and aggressive, taking some chances which are working, and we've got some nice momentum to build from

:facepalm Picked the man out. That's why How shouldn't be in the side

:clap Jamie How

Couldn't pick Umar Akmal out any better than that lol

GOT EMMMMMMM

Pakistan coming back very strong here!

:facepalm And now Taylor as well. We're in deep trouble now. Williamson is a steady head to have at the crease though, and Styris has experience. Hopefully these two can push through the difficult period

Styris and Williamson struggled to up the ante in Christchurch. Styris in particular looks out of it. He was backing away while trying to play shots.

Beautiful ball by Razzaq, nice seam movement mount to beat the bat

Another wickets coming boys

----------

Styris is so lucky. Could've been 45/4
