Patch#2 Notes - Patch is Live

You can rephrase and conclude all you like. The fact doesn't change - Big Ant guys are busy messing up their own game to kill piracy. Anyways, their game their choice. Its their legacy as game builder.

Help me understand how exactly can Big Ant "mess their own game" when the only folks who have been adversely affected are known pirates. I have yet to hear about a single legitimate customer of the game having issues which have not been resolved by Big Ant. Forcing pirates to pay for the game is not ruining their legacy.

It's also more effective: by giving them a broken game for free and offering them the chance to upgrade it to fixed for money... it's a good thang.

As Ross mentioned earlier that every time he turns on the rain, there are increased sales. So in a way pirated copy is acting like a demo version of the game and if you would like the full blown version, you need to pay for it. If it works, I say Big Ant should go for it.

Amazing logical reasoning guys.:clap Let the game gets more glitches. Look like BA will keep adding anti-piracy codes and mess up this game.
If this is the direction they are going then their next version gonna be similar to SimCity always online fiasco. Long live DRM. Looks like best bet for new buyers is to wait for this to show up on GOG.

I'm kind of with him that adding 'bugs' to annoy pirates is dumb and asking for trouble - there's enough real bugs without risking 'fake' ones mis-firing. That said, if I worked for BigAnt and had to deal with thousands of illiterate posts from pirates demanding this and that and yelling and moaning... can't blame them.

Did you pirate it?

None of the issues you allude to have affected genuine users... The game's platform on PC is Steam, and on that platform it works perfectly fine, as with many other PC games. Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike aren't DRM free on GOG, yet I wouldn't complain that the Valve overlords are screwing their customers with DRM.

Has anyone with a legitimate version of the game faced any issues? Even one single person? I haven't but I do hear thieves like jeetu and Orangzeb bitch & moan about it, which in a way means Big Ant are on the right track.

Finally someone getting it. A great game always sell. Those who want to illegally download will do it anyway. Anyways i'm done with thread before someone goes overboard and turns it into personal crusade against.

A great game always sell.

Not true. Lots of great games don't sell well.

Those who want to illegally download will do it anyway.

I agree. But they don't deserve to have a working version.

PC sales numbers for a cricket game were always going to be small, but I would imagine it comforting to see people who rip it off whining about crazy bugs: the alternative of course is not to release it at all, which is what happened with IC10. I wish AC09 had some fun options like this when we were seeing like 20x the number of people on the leaderboards than had bought it - Don't buy it, you don't get to play it.

These pirates are so adept and winding everyone up and then just buggering off? I don't have any time for pirates but the ones that come on here and brag about it and moan, really raise my hackles.

TBH I enjoy seeing them complain. It means whatever Ross' doing is working.

You didn't buy it so I guess you are in this camp and seriously need to GTFO.

Takes me seconds to cause you pain, I get extra sales, and legitimate users are not effected. Win, Win, Win.

PS: You made it personal when you stole the game from me, that's personal. What I don't understand is that you have a ten year old account to protect and you're a dick about it.
