With the 2013 Indian Premier League on the horizon, we are pleased to announce that there has been a considerable increase in PlanetCricket?s ?virtual cash? (vcash) that is awarded to the winners across all Fantasy Cricket games.

It will remain free to play, all that is required is an account here at PlanetCricket to register your team. You can find the main Fantasy Cricket page under Extra on the forum menubar or by clicking here.

The vcash awarded is based on your final score for the competition, provided that you finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Until now, the prizes were strictly 10x your final score for 1st, 5x for 2nd and 3x for 3rd.

This has now changed to:

6-20 players:

1st = 30x
2nd = 20x
3rd = 10x

21-50 players:

1st = 50x
2nd = 30x
3rd = 20x

50+ players:

1st = 100x
2nd = 50x
3rd = 30x

Last year?s IPL brought in 30 players and the winner received 64,000 vcash. That same scenario this year would see the winner receive 320,000 vcash, which can be used in the casino, vBookie and various other competitions run here at PlanetCricket.

For people who have not played before, there are some useful threads in the Fantasy Cricket section explaining the scoring system and the rules regarding injury replacements.

Some additional information:

- All players included in a game as an allrounder will be scored as such even if they are selected as either a bowler or batsman in your team.
- Your team can be edited by you anytime before registrations officially close. You can do this by clicking your username in ?Registered Managers? on the game page, and clicking Edit beside your name on your team?s page.
- Substitutions are not made on a regular basis like other fantasy games, so you have to choose your team and reserves carefully. A player in your XI can only be replaced during the first half of a competition with the equivalent reserve, and only if he is injured and will no longer compete any further. You have until the next game that your reserve plays to request such a substitution, and the points earned by your injured player are replaced by those of the reserve.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask in any of the current game threads in the Fantasy Cricket section, or by messaging a staff member of that forum.

Good luck :)

I missed it however I am planning to play Ashes fantasy cricket from dream 11 and expecting to win some cash prizes too. Since it is a game of skill it is completely legal too.
