Pietersen and Flintoff Part From Struggling Woodworm

Apparently (rumour has it) the the bat makers are believed to be SG...

It looks pretty sexual to be honest but for 330 retail price i'm not sure...330 squid is the cost of the bat here known as pellara elite

Cricket Pads & Gloves
These will be available in four grades, like the bats, called Elite, Pro, County and Club.

Cricket Shoes
Adidas will bring out a completely new range for next year. The bowling boot is called the 22 yrds III Mid and is no longer a high cut boot due to the fantastic support and technology in the sole which absorbs impact far better than any other shoe.
The 22 yrds Lite III will be the best selling shoe and is ideal for batting and running between the wickets. It is a lot lower to the ground than the current model which gives you greater stability.
The 22 yrds III Allround has a rubber sole ideal for indoor cricket or use on artificial wickets. The Howzat range remains similar but gets a facelift.

Cricket Sunglasses

As the official ECB supplier of sunglasses to the England team, adidas have developed 2 sunglasses which are particularly good for cricket. The adivista is designed to adapt to every light condition and protect your eyes from UV rays. It comes in various colour frames and lenses - one of which focuses on red and reduces green so the cricket ball stands out more when you are in the field. The T-Sight sunglasses are also excellent for cricket as they have no bar and give you much better vision and awareness of what is around you. There are no screws in adidas sunglasses so they don't break - they are made with breakaway hinges which snap in and out, and they also have arms which are adjustable by 8%.

Adidas Techfit

Adidas Techfit baselayers remain but include the new powerweb compression range which can help you run faster and give you a better posture.

Sounding pretty good, the Libro bat sounds like the one I'd probably prefer, like a bat with a good pick-up. My 2lb8oz Woodworm Hard Drive picks up beautifully. Hopefully won't be needing to replace it for a while, although there is a small crack on the toe, which is a little worrying.

anyone else know that reebok and addidas are the same company?

Available for pre-order now so official pics must be within the next couple of days you'd imagine.

I hate the over commercialised 3 stripes adidas, putting it on actual jerseys is too far, and is a disgrace to the heritage of whatever club allows them to do it.

This really is a shock for me, I thought woodworm were one of the better brands, but it seems not any more.

And what a suprise, the website is under construction....

First proper pic of the new Adidas Bat. From reading upside down, it looks like it's called the "Pellara". Interesting name, but very nice looking thing, very sexy stickers. From what I can see of the gloves they look pretty sexual as well. Very nice. Opinions?

Yuck. That's all I can say.

Don't really mind what it looks like to be honest aslong as he continues scoring centuries I don't mind if he uses a Walking stick as a bat :p

Wonder what Lee will be using come the 2nd test in India?

Well watching the game last night he was still using Woodworm though on his pants it looked like he had a patch covering where the Woodworm logo would normally be.

Any Prices? Where did you find this info. from

Found this on another forum, I don't know if this is rule-breaking but I though I'd share it with you anyways.

"For sale for ?1.

Purchase ledger ?700000 (that's how much they owe.)

Ongoing sponsorship contracts ?1.4m. (if they fold Fred and KP go to Adidas)

Debtor book- ?minimal.

That means you need to make ?2.1m profit pa to make it work or cashflow ?700k and recover ?1.4m.

Impossible. Dead in the water."

It all depends. Thing is, as a short term turn-around, the outstanding debt bank is cause for concern. If, as is almost certainly the case, that debt mainly is for bats and soft goods then it has to be paid to maintain supply chain. In order to do that, any prosepective purchaser would have to negotiate settlement, otherwise they'll have nothing to sell. So the company cannot be Pheonixed. Impossible.

So it would require a long term interested investor who wishes to either secure the brand, secure the rights to KP and/or Fred and is in it for a long term return.

Quite frankly, the money they are paying out in sponsorship is utter commercial suicide. In order to recover the outlay, Fred and KP would have to sell an amazing amount of kit, truly amazing amount. Whilst those two are obviously reall attatractions, the downside is they are overhead millstones and with them on board, the company will always struggle."

Yeh, that was posted on CricketSupplies a good week ago. Apparently Woodworm aren't finished yet, they're trying to find the finance to keep Flintoff going. Flintoff's still not signed for anyone, so it's really unsure as to what he'll be using in the Stanford super series. Rumours are he'll either stay with Woodworm if they can find the finance to keep going, if not he'll either be returning to Slaz.

KP's been confirmed as an Adidas aquisition on £700'000 a year, and still uncertain as to whether they'll be going for Fred or not. Seems unlikely atm. No pictures of the Adidas gear have been posted yet either, they've instructed suppliers to keep pictures under wraps until the official release, which I'm guessing will co-incide with the Stanford match, so that they've got the stuff out before x-mas.

Fred's gone to Puma judging by last night, although judging by last night he was also called Harmison, so nothing's set in stone yet. No-ones really sure if Fred's puma deal is a permanent move, or just a tournament based one. If it's permanent I didn't like the stuff he was using last night, the helmet was god awful, and the gloves were disgusting. KP's Adidas stuff on the other hand looked fantastic. The pads and gloves are lovely.
