Well I'm looking at the pokemon that can be caught in each route.

I'll wait until I get Charmander first.

Where's Nugget Bridge cause that's where you get him according to the this? Sorry, I don't have a map to know this and I forget

Ok, yeah. Found out. I get Charmander and Bulbasaur pretty early on and Squirtle a little while later. So my team in the future would likely be:

Pikachu
Charmander - Chewie
Squirtle
Bulbasaur
Zapdos
Articuno

Probably likely to be my team since Moltres is the last legendary you find (apart from Mewtwo) otherwise Moltres will be in for Bulbasaur.

So Chewie has got Charmander, who wants the others (apart from Pikachu who is just Pikachu)

Why do you need both Zapdos and Pikachu? Get an Alakazam or Gengar.

And you can teach ice beam to Blastoise so you don't need a Articuno either...

Yeah, I'll go with Zapdos actually and not use Pikachu at that stage. You need to trade though to get Alakazam though don't you?

I might get Gengar instead.

So my team could probably be:

Charmander-Charizard
Squirtle-Blastoise
Bulbasaur-Venusaur
Zapdos
Articuno
Gengar/Mewtwo (Once I get him)

Actually you need to bloody trade again to get Gengar so probably not.

I don't really like Mr Mime as well. Oh well, I'll just decide on a 6th pokemon as I go.

Well Jynx is ice/psychic so you wouldn't need Articuno.

Get a scyther

Problem is some of these pokemon aren't available in yellow...

Rivals name is Iridium

I usually had a ground type at the start. But there aren't many great ground type Pokemon in Yellow. I usually went with Dugtrio. Later on I'd replace him with Dragonite.

Heck, I wanna play Yellow as well now. But I don't want to erase my save game from back when I first got it.
