yeh, but there aren't many levels to go to get to butterfree. tackle is just for levelling through to evolution. besides you can forcibly keep him at caterpie

I've always preferred Water Pokemon as my starters, they are my favorite types.
Any version of Pokemon I play I always have three member common. A water starter, Arcanine and Dragonite.

Started playing black and whoa I don't know any of the pokemon. In all other games I knew most of the pokemon and now I am just guessing by the looks which one to catch and which one to not

It's a new generation, of course you won't know any of the Pokemon. You'll find which are good through trial and error.

Just got the Bolt Badge. Those Emolga are incredibly annoying to beat.

i think they added too many pokemon each generation.

about 20 or so per generation, with 1-2 legendaries would have been perfect imo. and would have kept me playing a lot longer. after gold silver it seemed to infeasible to catch them all and thus i didn't get any after that
