Couple of screen shots would be nice, try not to ask for to much
or get into trouble or no answer.

Trying to think of something new to write about, is it to early to talk about
controls for the game ross. Are you doing a front foot and back foot like ic2010,
also how about camera options, like behind the batsmen or something new ?

It's rather dirrent to baseball in that way. Baseball batters swing at the ball in a fairly routine way (usually), but cricket shots have SO much variety. It has been a real challenge to get the 360 degrees of all batting shots right in cricket games.

But the fact of the matter is that even the best of batsmen do not have a full control of the shots. They just aim in a particular direction and would find the gap if they are lucky. It takes skill, precision, and a little bit of luck. It will be a very tricky thing to get right for the developers.

You are right. It all depends on the batsman. Tail-enders bat differently to top-order batsman, so you would have to restrict their abilities. And then there are individual batting styles, and sometimes specific shots are played in different ways by different batsman.

It's complex. Perhaps it's a major reason why we haven't had a great cricket game in many years.

But if a company can get it right, with great gameplay, stats, career, online play, and release it on consoles to stop PC computer pirates, they could make an absolute fortune. A billion people on Earth would want to buy this game. It's a massive oil well just begging to be tapped.

Yes but most live in india so the price for the game need to be cheap.
Maybe bigant can support outside of aus more than say the ashes game.
It would give them a edge outside of aus and the uk, still the game needs
to be good if not great. Time will tell, we must wait till ross is ready to show
us what we hope will be the game of are dreams.

Also the bigant game needs to be very customizeable big time, like cricket 07
in that way.

Big ant studios pls some screenshot or gameplay or a demo for download...Till now u have given us info but no visuals....Only 2 screenshots till now...Pls

I just wanted to say i agree bigant need to fix there web site.
If they are not ready to show there game yet ok then, like most i'm trying to
have patience but it's hard with cricket on tv

Good things come to those who wait so be patient, at least don't ask the same things over and over again, instead try and post some constructive thoughts which could help Big Ant with their games.

About half of the threads on here and the ashes 2013 forum could be closed with all the constant update requests and repeated questions. Page after page of them. Getting very frustrating now.
The way I see it, the more their on here answering questions the less time their spending on making the game. These people have made the effort to come on here and tell us about the game. They will give us updates when they have them to give.
If your all that hungry for cricket, are you not aware there is an India/pak series going on? An aus/Sri series and sa/nz series. Plus the big bash! Focus your comments for those match threads instead. Sorry for ranting and I know I'm setting myself up for a lot of "hate" posts, but I check these threads for developer updates, and every time I do I see questions asked in a different way for the 1,000,000th time! There, rant over.

Totally agree with you mate, surely we've given all our wishes and thoughts on the games now, we just have to sit back and hope the developers make the game we all deserve.

Can you tell us when you will be updating your rant? Do you have any screenshots of your rant? Will there be cheerleaders in your next rant?

In case you missed it though, Ross mentioned earlier that there will be something for us later this month so something is coming, only a matter of days now, but at this stage I am finding it extremely difficult to resist being impatient for Table Top Cricket, this game is going to be massive for me. Big Ant is going to revolutionize Cricket gaming, wait and watch

What we need is realistic physics between the bat and ball.

Ok new ideas, that's a hard one

Maybe female cricket players guys
maybe some fun cheats codes, a black and white mode would be fun.

About realistic bat and bowl play, yeah we all want that.
ic2010 did a good job if you played to it's strong areas not
play the lofted shot more than say once a over
Still we will not know about this area of the game till ross and bigant are
ready to show us the gold.

Now i will try not to ask for the normal things like screenshots,game videos
and other juices things. Well maybe once more, just kidding.
