Post your questions about the game here!

To be fair, the stumps did fly out the ground on ic10. But yeah the sound is pants. But for me the worst thing was the ball just dropping to the ground like it was a 1000 tonne weight. Same as when it hit the batsman. That's why I've never scored or conceded a single bye in the last two games. That's something that really must be fixed.

I was having a look at some old videos of ea, s 2002 game. Seeing batsmen swaying out of the wayof fierce bouncers and stumps flying really got me wondering again: what the heck went wrong in cricket game development after the startnof the millenium. Every other franchise has got miles better, except cricket which has gone downhill big time since then......

I know what your saying. I can only put it down to a studio being given a small budget to work with. Possibly their given to short a time frame to work with to add all the things we find nessasary. I blame code masters for most of the errors in the last two.
At the end of the day, if Ferrari told their designers they only have 24 hours to design and make a new model, even though its still Ferrari. The end product will suffer.
That is why I'm much more hopeful for both these new games. With both developers asking our opinions for their games, it shows that more time and effort is being dedicated to the games than before.

Sorry to all who thought I was trying to make people get annoyed with such comments ,I would never ever intend to do that its just that we have not got a gr8 Cricket game for a long time ...I like Ashes Cricket 2009 but that also has got its problems....I wanted to tell that the game should feel real which has lacked over the years....:noway

It's cool dude, not much happening with both games so i think
some people on here are getting a little bored.
We all want a great cricket game mate, it's been a long 2.5 years.:yes

In terms of release date, I'd imagine we would expect the game to come out at a similar time to Ashes Cricket. That would obviously be around the first Ashes series of the year (which starts on 10th July).

Who knows at the moment, unless bigant have a licenced comp
to support they could release anytime this year.
All i know is no time soon and at the moment it's still this year.

Also remember it's bigant first cricket game unlike there other sport
games so it would take a long time to get right, plus cricket is a tricky
sport to get right. How many times have you been blown away by a cricket
game. Maybe the first time i played shane warne 99 would be best, ic2010
was great for a while then the faults show there ugly head.:yes

IC2010 was crap. Brian Lara 99 was great, but the first game I played was Cricket 2002 on the PS2.

That's gotta be the most intelligent post you've ever done. Well done dude! :p

It had some serious negatives yes. But crap? I wouldn't go that far. Unless your refuring to the post release support, then "crap" is more than an accurate word.

Yeah, C02 felt sooo good and I remember how much fun it was to hit a six pulling one. I often failed to get the timing right but, when I got it right, the feeling was so good! That was my first ever Cricket game as well and all the others after that haven't had me hooked. Maybe that time the enthusiasm was high or I was a kid seeing something like that for the first time..

Thanks just becareful or i will start asking for screenshots and updates again. :lol
Also has anybody thought why bigant will not post more screens, my guess
is at the start the other two screens did not go to well with some people
on hear so we will not see more till the game is near a finished product.
Only a thought so i could be wrong.:spy

Also to call ic2010 crap is well so wrong, i had it in my top 5 for a singleplayer
game, lets not talk about muliplayer.

Hey Ross

Just had an idea that I think would be great in theory, but not sure how hard it would be for you to implement.

I think most of us here love the sound of your player editor for the game, especially if it is comparable to the RLL2 game. How about releasing the player editor only as a download before the full game is released. Maybe allow us to create and save around four teams that could be transfered to the full game when released.

I for one would love the chance to play around with the editor for a few months before release. I could finally create my all-time England team with a decent editor, (So excited, yes I'm sad I know). Hopefully it would create publicity, maybe extra sales of the full game and give us all something to get our teeth into before the official release.

I'm not massively technically minded so don't have a clue if this would be possible, but I think it would create a real buzz before your games released.

What an interesting idea... have you been speaking to someone here at BA! :p

Wait a sec, does that mean its a possibility, don't get me too excited I've got to work today, I won't be able to concentrate.

I can say no more... sorry... details will follow in the coming weeks.
