Well Ross you said we were going to get something in january (which sum1 mentioned was a player editor) but its 25/01/2013 and still no signs of anything please can you update us. Is their any chance of getting screenshots of the actual game or when are we going to get something

big ant cricket vs ashes cricket 2009 ... will have to buy both to find out which ones the best... cant wait ... but also getting bored now as nothing is being given to us no screenshots nothing and yet last year ross and co said we will get something in new year.... when i dont now

what would be a good thing to include is the referral system (drs) and also please allow us to change the group our user controlled team is placed for tournaments such as world cup / t20 as i hate having to play the same team all the time. perhaps we could chose the groups. also can you start world cups from group stages and not quarter final. Any chance of getting a knockout tournament being included which starts of with say all international teams. Can we also create our own team by picking players from existing international teams. Also one thing which might be small but will have a big impact is can you allow us to change height of players and this to show in the game such as the new pakistan bowler being 7ft + he gets good bounce even on dead pitches this will make the game alot better. also what simulation methods will be available please i dont want per over we need something like per 10 overs, 5overs, wkt fall, innings, game, and can you give all power play control to us so we can chose when to take them. Please reply Ross with answers to the questions you can

Because at the moment my mood is coming of this game as theirs only information being given no evidence to back anything up

Hi Ross the time you guys make the roster and the release time of game the roster is outdated means every 6 months or a year the roster keeps changing like many players have retired and we see new youngsters coming up.
So what steps have been taken by you to keep the roster up to date and feel fresh and new (even accuracy like looks and statistical) as for the longevity of the game.

Patience. We won't be seeing the game released for a while yet, as there isn't enough hype for cricket to send a game out. So while we have not heard anything this month I doubt it has impacted on the release schedule.

Yes, this is important. Please, after release, do not abandon the game. Do what EA do with Fifa and release a squad update every 6 months or so. Update the career statistics up to a certain time, bring in any new players to the squads, and so on. It'll make the game last a lot longer.

Yes, this as well. I feel at the very least we need an option to simulate/autoplay a whole session of a Test match. IC2010 was a nightmare in only allowing us to simulate an over, an innings or a match at a time. We need an option to choose a number of overs to simulate, to simulate a session, and then an innings.

Dont think that is possible as it is obvious that Big Ant (or any developer for that matter) would not have the licenses for all cricket teams. What is the point of updating the squad when, even now, 90% of the cricketers do not even have their real names !

What we need is that the player editor should be good enough. You would anyways be able to save the created players when u play against them, so chances are if you play someone who has the latest squad, that latest squad will get stored in your system as well.

I think ross said something about aquiring some licenses although he didnt mention what kind of licences. Would be cool if they managed to get icc champ trophy license coz atleast they will have most of the international players by default in the game.

But knowing how good the editor will be, i would rather like to see kits licensing for bats pads and gloves etc.

i understand about licensing and also that 90% players doesn't have real names.
but we can understand like "dhonier" is dhoni , the point is to have updated players in the roster or ability of adding new players which looks similar.
So that we cant just struck on playing with Hayden or similar players for years like in previous games.

Yeh....thats why I think if the player editor is good....it will make this game 100% better

i think my previous msg was mis understood because what i meant was that ross said the player editor would be out in januard and its coming to the end of january and still no player editor. This i think is not giving a good sign to say to all us on here that their will be something to download in january then not providing anything it gives false hopes.

In terms of the rooster being update i think that isnt important as the player creator will certainly handle that. But i think they have got to allow things such as tournament groups to be set manually as in icc10 you always are in the same group and guaranteed to play the same teams which i find boring.

One thing i would like ross to answer is when can we expect some more activity in regards to the game, you see ashes cricket 2013 members releasing a video talking about the game every few weeks , we need to at least get some screenshots of the actual game or something. otherwise its really letting the game down because none of us talking here dont know anything about the game we are just talking do we know the progress or anything nothing.

at the moment due to the lack of activity on this forum from big ant i think ashes cricket is more appealing.

I personally hope Big Ant don't go ahead with the download of something which Ross told us about, I would not even like to see any more screenshots of the game, I want to keep all my surprises for the day I get the game in my hands, besides, I think Ross has already told us more than enough, and in addition to that the two screens we have seen of the game plus Table Top Cricket trailer clearly show the quality of Big Ant so please have patience and faith!

That's an incredibly detailed and diverse player editor. I'd be delighted to see it in a cricket game. A big thumbs up to Big Ant if they include something like this in their cricket game.
