Yup, I agree with Simon.

The chat in there was special, obviously deserving of the number in our little userbar things to tick along! :p

As Simon said, I doubt the admins will reverse the decision but that's my opinion on it at least.

Oh well...surely decreasing the activity in there...especially for me...

So you posted there just for the increase in your post count?

Tbh, I don't think you lots are giving the mods the best of impressions on their decision. While the posting quality in the CricSim forum was better than lots other parts of the overall forum, it was also a place where people used spamming as the excuse for "active participation" - just like Matt said in his announcement. This got pretty huge in the last couple while, and is still quite visible. Besides, if you are on of those "hardcore cricksimmers", why would you care about post count at all?

Then again, this is coming from someone who'd probably like the post count feature to be removed altogether from the forum. :)

And finally. Folks, it's just a forum.

.

Don't get me wrong, I know ;)

I said to Dean, Its probably just a selfish call from me, as its the only forum i'm active in really.

I still think its the wrong decision, but i'll live with it.

I don't care really, I'm the one that has been quite a lot popular for supposedly spamming, and I don't have a problem with it tbh, because as Matt said the Cricsim is all about participation, and you can't make ontopic posts often, mostly because there's no topic, its just a game. Infact I think this decision is better as this allows me for better participation. Not spam, but sometimes before I've restrained from posting in the IW thread because I had posted a lot on the same day lol.

Don't think this decision has a big effect on anyone anyways, post count is not to be worried about, its the quality of the posts! :)

Remove my post count and I'll just be another rambling idiot :p

I'm just woried it will turn into a spam fest. Well, a bigger one anyways. Large team threads also mean nothing now, as it is just spam till you drop...

It wasn't like that before. You posted with the knowledge that spam will be deleted, so if it was spam, it should be good spam.

Aslong as that is maintained, then it is okay I guess.

I used to type "lik dis wen i 1st got net" but now days I dont see the difference between typing on the internet and how you would write something. Full English on msn, xfire, steam, forums wherever it maybe on the net I think full English should be used.

I'm not the kind of fella who sucks up to moderators/admins, but it's completely understandable that they'd remove the post count from the cricsim forum. A lot of stuff there is very spammy and that's coming from me. The king of specially prepared american meat.

Well what I think is that we need better mods in the cricsim section. What I mean is that the current mods just run the competitions and definitely don't moderate the part. TBH, I actually used to delete spam when I was a mod in that part.
