Okay people are viewing this thread differently than I intended.

I am not talking about the people and sorry for the generalisation(sp?) but mainly the members from the sub-continent where English mainly isnt taught. These arent the people I am talking about, as I said they are understandable and they usually pick up the language along the way, like tassie said.

The main ones I am talking about are the ones like pranav said and the people who use a lot of text talk.

The one thing I do disagree with tassie is the 'long lead' given by the mods/admins it means they take longer to mature but if there was a stricter leash then they would mature a lot quicker.

The mods/admins do a very good job and I thank them for it! But this is a feedback and suggestions forum and thats what this thread is about!

Dont worry guys ive figured out why its bad!! Its cause your not moderators which is obviously crucial, small in stature large in internet ego! GG you should be a mod Holdy be one aswell you know what unban hitty make him a mod. Cause we all crave that internet power.

If you dont like it then go away cause things aint gonna change.

This is never gonna be a perfect enviroment, you get chavs in society thankfully they are too dumb to operate a computer so instead we get the dudes who have run out of credit on their mobiles.

As Sureshot said forums go through rough patches. We will get through this eventually and these current "spammers" will become older and wiser. Therefore no longer spammers. I was once a spammer, as hard as it is to believe : . Now look at me. No spam at all : . The forum will soon become better again. Let the staff do their job the way they are doing it.

I don't even think there's anything wrong with the forum. I think people just need to open up to the fact that it's not worth fretting over things like this cyberly. There's much worse things in the world like running out of milk when you want some damn Cheerios.

I agree but if we want the post quality overall to increase we will need to be a bit harsher I think, we might need the andrew_nixon type mod back.
Hopefully not, it'll be tough and we'll need to work this out.

This 'Post Quality' thread intrigues me. I was about to start one myself to criticise the amount of spam in the Cricket Chat and General Chat forums. I mean, it's accpetable in places like here, but not where serious conversations are held.

Andrew was a hypocrite. Enforced the law not to flame, yet went at it himself. Never liked him for that. He was also a bit over-board at times. You have spammers and flame wars, and they'd pick over having a sig ten pixels too large...

Anyways, I say just ban anyone else who dares try and turn a proper cricket chat thread into another India vs. Australia or Asia vs. ROW thread.

I'm not gonna lie; i'm part of the problem because I have been guilty of spamming up the forums with naughty jokes and a bit of off-topic banter. It's not as if i'm a terrorist though is it? I'm hardly kicking new born babies in the face am I?

Yeah, but your spam-infested posts are actually enjoyable to read.

Anyways, I have no grudge against the Indian members whose first language isn't English but they could probably make a little bit more of an effort. I know Vaibhav does and nobody sees him as a spammer. If you know 'u', 'dis', 'tym', 'y', etc are then surely you know the real word.

The majority of 'these members' first go to the downloads forum. There is very little moderation done in this area (not blaming the mods here, just making a point) and hence, there is nobody there to stop them the first time they overruse smilies or type in text talk. As a result, they think it's okay to do it again.
