Right i've amazingly had a good look through this thread, as the forums have been (I'll admit it and i'm not ashamed) a part of my life for the last two years, when i'm bored its here, thats why i like it and i don't like to see it going downhill.

I'll start off first saying, Sureshot is right, and i said this earlier the forum will go through good patches and with that, bad patches. This a community, and its called a community for a reason, because it kind of "acts," as it does in real life...you lose good "friends," and you gain some It all evens out!

Right, regarding some of the members who've posted. GG, mate, i'm impressed in how you've changed, i really am. But you come out with some of the most stupid stuff at times. Andrew_Nixon is a phantom to those who were around and witnessed him, for you, its just a legend type story of the nasty man who some people like.

Ollie, i know you've tried to get people on topic, go check the corruption thread...i tried and failed, with these types of threads it'll always happen.

NP10, i've got nothing but respect for most of the staff on these forums, hell these boys are the best bunch we've had since the days before I knew of this forum, its just some don't ever come online and some don't even post. How is that any good?

Ok, now for my final point,

Some people keep saying (Matt would be one ) that this is an internet forum, and would advise folk to "go outside and get a life," (Something duded64 would say) but the thing is, when i'm in the house, however often it may be, i wan't to come onto a Planetcricket that has as high credentials as just after the Corruption Thread..however badly myself and Mr.Duff did it (He was in more trouble than me, as he was staff) we did get it changed! We got a decent bit of consistancy! That was a great time!

A staff reshuffle wouldnt be a bad idea, it would get rid of the inactive members and give us "sad," people who are here every day a fighting chance at helping the forums!

Its a bit like a book this post, so i'll end it with;

Oh, and could we please stop with the consistent "Player A v Player B" threads in CC? We could have a gigantic "player comparison" thread instead of all these different ones opening up all over the place.

I don't see the point in comparing them in the first place to be honest. It's just going to result in discussions that go around in circles and let's be frank, it's a bit rich for us to criticize the flaws of these particular players when they are miles and continents better than all of us. Except me obviously. I make Bradman weep in fear.

I'd just like to clarify to other members that I wasn't implying that it was sad to be on internet forum (why else would I have nigh on 12k posts?) but I was just saying that it's fruitless to get worked up about the heirachy on something such as a cricket forum. I love it here no matter who's in charge. I come here to talk about England, I come here to talk about football because most football forums are full of arsehole and I also come for the occasional bit of banter which I openly admit to crossing the line a few times. Other than Myspace and Gamfaqs this is the forum I visit most and when i'm not out and about filling myself with alcohol and a lot of loud music I like to spend a lot of my time on the internet and PC is a pretty good place.

By the way I wasn't having a go at you Simon, it's just that your post could easily be misread into thinking I was making a rather ignorant point.

Well Simbazz has summed it up quite well, but I don't agree there needs to be a staff reshuffle. The quality of the members that normally post havn't gone down, but because of the new members that have joined which is directly related to the IPL downloads in the downloads forum. When the IPL was running, there where around 150 members viewing the downloads forum at a constant rate.

The IPL brought so many members to the downloads forum and some of the members there are realizing that there are other forums on PC as well. Well most of them probably think its cool to speak in chat language or some other reason they have (This guy said his computer's space bar didn't work so he would type sentences without gaps...). Although what is more important is the use of other languages other than english on this forum. Hindi seems to be a main one because there are heaps of posts in the downloads forum that are full hindi or a bit of mix. I wold rather text talk than other language, but people might have different views. Although yes cut down text talk as much as possible too.

You'll be able to back my point up as well as anyone as we've been here for similar time periods (And have been through enough ) and you'd most definately agree there have been worst periods than this, right?

One thing I can confirm now is that regarding Staff re-shuffles, we have done that consistently over the years after each Awards. Conveniently this has just happened, so admin will be discussing soon with existing Staff and then amongst ourselves which of the current membership base (if any) to approach for a staffing position

However no final decision on this will probably be made until barmyarmy returns from his vaction in 2 weeks time

Methinks all those penis jokes have somewhat blurred my chances of joining the staff team. Well, not so much blurred as completely blinded them.
