Well if he's got better surely everyone has the hope so we could in theory all be on the way to brilliant forum where sun is shining from all angles.

I pretty much agree with everything Simon said earlier in the thread although there isn't much excuse for English and other members where English is their first language to use text talk or abbreviate words when they don't need to. Even spelling mistakes annoy me...

NP10 said earlier that it's the majority of the young members causing the problems but we have lots of young members that post good quality stuff and act mature so generalizing them into a group like that is quite wrong, in my opinion.

I still think the quality of the forum will go back up but it will only go back up if everyone makes a special effort to post properly and make each post a few sentences instead of a few words. Guests will see this and think it's a worthwhile site and might sign up and become a brilliant member. You never know.

My tuppence on the situation anyway.

I agree but if we want the post quality overall to increase we will need to be a bit harsher I think, we might need the andrew_nixon type mod back.
Hopefully not, it'll be tough and we'll need to work this out.

We really need a staff reshuffle most of the main mods have left. Matt and Srevie are the only one who are doing the job.

I'd love to have someone like Andrew back. He always cut down on the spam and was always there to provide useful stats and fixtures, even if not required. Him leaving was a little bit popular with some of the members but as you can see now, it has hampered us in the long term. I'd put my neck out and say Andrew would be welcome back.

Ironic how first members complain about mods being too strict, and then, not strict enough. Like Tom said, now we're seeing both extremes of the situation. It's even funnier how this thread is now quickly turning into another flame-fest. As far as complaining and moaning about others go, worrying about your own contributions has a far better outcome.
