Actually the play offs will be right before the actual tournament. Which is something I suggested after the 2004 competition. I'm going to assume that my cheque from the ICC is in the post.iceman_waugh said:Also there are changes in the ICC Champions Trophy format too.
The trophy will consist of the top 8 teams, which is to be decided on the basis of the ICC rankings.
The top 6 will get qualified automatically.
The remaining two places will be decided by playoffs between the last 4 nations.
These playoffs will be held in India during the month of May 2006.
As of now India will have to play the playoffs.
They wouldn't have me, I've got too much common sense.iceman_waugh said:why dont you try for the ICC CEO's place andrew?
Thats too much to ask for gambino. but i might be wrong. we got some pertty good games mods here.gambino said:will someone make a patch for the new game with these tactical changes.
This would only apply if you named your team after the toss, which you don't.rahulk666 said:1. The substitute player rule will discourage the allrounders in the team. They will feel no longer required since a bowler can bowl 9 overs and get replaced with a batsman. Teams no longer require an all-rounders. People like Chris Harris (he may not be playing anymore... I am just giving an example) will no longer be required
It doesn't matter really. Even before the match begins the teams won't pick an allrounder. Just to give you an example if I were R. Ponting, I would not pick S. Watson at all. I would rather have Clarke and B. Lee. If I am batting first and clarke does not get not out, I can replace Clarke with Lee when I am ready to bowl. If I am bowling first I will bowl McGrath for 9 overs and then replace McGrath with Clarke. Howzzat??andrew_nixon said:This would only apply if you named your team after the toss, which you don't.
