PS3/360 Versions Troubleshooting/Bug Reporting

I just installed the patch!

Played 2 games (still busy with my second game) but had to pause and come on here...

1st game 24 runs and 4 wickets. The game felt great! So complete! Just perfect! I got out on the most amazing edge which I enjoyed getting out on.

In my second game now I came in @ 3 and scored a half century and had a 100 run partnership of 111 balls! It felt great! I wasn't scared to bat or to block a ball. And the best is my strike rate wasn't over a 100.00 but rather 89.00 which is way more realistic.

I can't explain how much I enjoyed this innings. The game is perfect.

I'm currently playing a series against England on Legend difficulty for SA.

I can't wait to start a test match and block it out for a 1st test century.

Thanks you Ross the game is perfect and feels great.

Now let me go play some cricket!

Just switched the game on and it didn't prompt me to update ?

Xbox 360 and in the UK

And i just caught one behind in the slips........... with a fielder - EXCELLENT!

Can I ask - do I still have to wait a few seconds b4 appealing?

It's possible to configure an Xbox to update games without prompting you - so the first thing to do would be to play a match and see if anything feels different, and then try while batting the new toggles on the up/down D-Pad buttons for batsman/keeper transparency.

If you definitely don't have the patch, then it could just be that it hasn't filtered through to the UK servers yet. Would have to see if anyone else in the UK is getting it.

@Vans - having played the changes made since this patch (especially AI bowling lines) it gets even better. :)

Ah that sounds nice. Please share more on "what's coming on PC soon" :p

Loving the update. Batting is really easy and fun now but one thing I've noticed is that the AI tries to be very aggressive now matter what the format is and obviously gives away wickets in a cluster. This observation is from a sample of 3 matches played by me ( 1) 5 overs match and (2) first class matches in Career mode. In one of my career match, my team was cruising at 126 - 2 (batting partner had 100+ strike rate in FC) then a collapse happened because AI going over the top T20 style and getting caught near boundary ropes in the process.

So I played 4 matches in total and had a great run. The difference is well noted but you can still easily get out on Legend for bad shot selection.

I played 3 ODI matches for SA vs England.
1st game: 23 (27balls) & 43-4
2nd game: 51 (57) & 61-2
3rd game: 43 (38) & 34-1

And I played one T20 Match vs England
I got 54 (43) & 18-2 (man of the match)

2 × hundred run partnerships & 1× 50 rps

The game feels great and polished now. I love the fact that bowling is far more difficult now (don't know if u guys feel that too? ) but the bowling in my games were much more difficult and the AI was scoring freely.

Can't wait to play this game now even more than ever before.

Have the defensive shots been tweaked? They seem a lot more realistic (i.e not killed on impact)

Sometimes upping some players batting skills causes them to move down the 1-5 "helmet" rating... This seems to be down to the game changing their classification from a bowler to an all rounder, and the lower batting skills bring down the overall rating.

Perhaps a max skilled all rounder isn't as highly rated according to the game than a batsman/bowler with full skills in their role? I don't know, just a theory.

This is sort've what I'm talking about. To me making a player a fairly solid all rounder (although I tried to avoid that unless they were genuine) shouldn't penalise anything about the overall attributes of the team.

Maybe this situation has been remedied, because gkrama is showing some stats on a team I wasn't able to get before. Thanks for posting that up gkrama, but can you show me the team's overall general rating too? Just wanting to make sure that is also in proportion to the various team attributes you display.

In any case, I'm going to have to try and re-edit that Australian side I was tinkering with and see if I can get a higher overall score. One more question gkrama, you didn't have to make the players ridiculously skilled in just about everything to achieve that? I mean you could still keep the attributes in a somewhat realistic fashion like a top draw Fifa team like Barcelona or Germany? Ofr example, I'd hate to have to achieve that by making David Warner an all time great bowler and Peter Siddle a legendary batsman etc.

So I just hit a straight drive relatively close to the bowler; and it wasn't caught by him in a remarkable way, nor did it carry anywhere near mid on.

Makes batting a hell of a lot easier, in a good way since its more rewarding...
