They didn't retain anyone. Another fresh slate.

What they need, in fact, is a fresh management slate. Better for Punjab if they drop Preity and Ness altogether here. For a franchise that enters 2 mega auctions without retaining anyone, the problems are certainly there for the rest of the world to see.

The IPL is better off without the likes of such teams and for the betterment of the league, hope the BCCI invokes some clause that rids the league of this poison.

They now have a chance at Iyer, Hardik, Ishan, Surya, Gill, Rahul, Rashid, Warner and many others the other 2 franchise can only have 6 players after that Punjab will have the highest purse to build a good squad.

Agree they would have the highest purse. They did have it last time too, but went for sorry picks! The thing with Punjab is they go for the big names, not necessarily proven performers. They will spend massive amounts on 2-3 players and are then left to pick the rest of the pieces up at not so great prices.

I have a good feeling after watching their 1st game. They seem to be very much on the lines of RR in 2008. Hoping they can go all the way this time.
