Quarter Finals Stage

India's batting line-up although the strongest on paper in this tournament - is overated IMO. Except for the legendary Tendy all of them in the top 7 are vulnerable to various degrees against high quality seam bowling - which PAK have.

So if such a match where to happen on seamer friendly Mohali pitch, PAK would have the edge. Only if the pitch is flat would it be even for both sides.

Who is not vulnerable against a high class bowling line up ? Being vulnerable does not imply that they will not score . As long as they score runs on the given day it does not really matter .

:)

----------

This might be the semi-final line up .

India
West-Indies
Sri Lanka
South Africa .

:D

I would love to see West Indies beating Pakistan and Proteans again choking against the Kiwis :D

Not kidding but should England get past the Lankans which is highly unlikely , then its a gatepass for them to the Finals given how well they torment the chokers .

India Australia clash pretty much gives us one of the finalists .

My predictions (teams in bold depict the winners)

Pakistan v West Indies - Mirpur
Australia v India - Ahmedabad
New Zealand v South Africa - Mirpur
Sri Lanka v England - Colombo

Pak,SA,SL should be ok but IND and AUS, man some body bona get hurt real bad :facepalm

----------

This definitely isn't a foregone conclusion - Sri Lanka are favourites for sure, but depending on which England turns up it could be pretty tight.
Don't count your chickens just yet Lassana :)

As for the others it'll be Pakistan, SA and India imho.

LOL ok if you say so!!!! :D

yeah , but i am favoring the Aussies given Motera is the fastest track in India and the rest , you name it ... Tait-Johnson-Lee trio , bah ..

oh dont worry mate, they will make it slow for sure, even if its fast i think Ind can score 240+ with there batting power as it is. not that i dont think 240 is ungetable for AUS with IND bowling, just feel one way or nather its gona be a landmark in this WC

Australian batting is what is going to win or lose them this match, not their bowling. If they can cope with spin and post a reasonable total, the pace attack can handle the Indian batting.

If it's a spinning track and we give Chawla one more chance, then I won't be surprised to see a collapse.

I don't know why but I have a strange feeling that if Watson clicks then it's over for India, and considering the fact that Watson doesn't have any big score in this WC so far, we can expect one at Motera.

for me it should be like this

Pakistan v West Indies - Mirpur
Australia v India - Ahmedabad
New Zealand v South Africa - Mirpur
Sri Lanka v England - Colombo

then

Australia vs Pakistan
South Africa VS Sri Lanka

and at last

Australia vs South Africa

My predictions would be something like,

Pakistan v West Indies
Australia v India
New Zealand v South Africa
Sri Lanka v England

India v Pakistan
New Zealand v Sri Lanka

India v Sri Lanka
