Just on the gun thing, as far as I know some of our police don't even carry around proper guns.

Surely you've been giving way to the people turning right at a t intersection though? Like you're turning left into the stem and there is someone facing towards you turning right into the stem, you give way to them? Most people still follow that one.
Yeah I'm not that retarded! :laugh

But yes your point about turning into the minor street of a T intersection is correct - 19 of 20 people don't know about that rule. I do (:p) but no one ever does it and that is the reason why they are changing it.
Only once in my 1 year of driving has someone actually given way to me properly in that situation. I sat there for like 10 seconds thinking "Is this dumb bitch gonna go?" Turns out she was one of very few who actually knew the rules properly. I actually still thought she was a dumb bitch until I saw the news last night :p

Anyway I'm hopefully going back to Queenstown next week. I can't wait that long :(

Criticism of the US is always welcome and will always occur. No matter who is the global hegemone is he will be painted as the bad guy and it is in his interest to maintain that hegemony. Be it the Romans, Greeks, British Empire or the Americans.

People will always slag off the biggest kid on the block.

They don't carry them around here either. Only the specially trained ones do who don't walk up and down the street with them.

*sigh* Packing my bags for a 4 day trip meeting so many people I don't want to meet, going to a place I don't want to go and it involves an 8 hour car journey. FML

went out last night after football, home about 5ish, lecture at 10 then nothing till 2. Working tonight and I have done 8 13 and 11 hour shifts the last 3 weeks. Basically I need to sleep in the library now or die around 3am tonight.

First game of the cricket season tomorrow. Not exactly looking forward to it.

My body is still tweaking sore from the nets 2 days ago. It was my first bowl in months :p

Time to harden up tbh

Hate it when you play a sport for the first time in a while :p I play tennis a couple of times each holidays and I'm always stiff afterwards (no not in that way :p).

I played Tennis yesterday, after biking half an hour to get to the courts. :facepalm
It took me a while to get into it, and ended up losing 7 - 5 to my mate in a very casual game, but he actually plays for our school, so it wasn't too bad.

The opposite happens with me when I go and play with my dad at squash, he plays it every week.
Every few months I'll go and have a hit with him, the first half of the first set I'll get out to a decent lead, he'll just tire me out and eventually beat me like 9 - 7, then the second set he'll smash me. I'll then get a drink, and I'll be competitive again

TBH I've never really gotten into racket sports though, they're good fun to play every now and then, but I wouldn't want to play them week in week out.

I used to play for school :p granted, in the third team, but still :p

Every holidays me and one of my mates always play a few 3-set games. We're pretty even so it's a good match up. My problem is that because I don't go to the gym or anything I'm not too fit, whereas he goes to the gym (though he does work at Movenpick so they kinda negate each other slightly :p). So I normally win the first set pretty easily, but then I start to get tired and he wins the next two. Which is rather annoying.
