The Dean Jones corner
Everyone's favourite Aussie commentator Dean Jones meets up with a few of the players for some brief interviews:
Umer Awan
DJ: So, Umer, first up - how do you feel about the decision you recieved in the first innings?
UA: Well, obviously not very good. I felt it was going too high, down the legside, a poor decision. But umpires are just human and they make mistakes.
DJ: And your reaction to the fine?
UA: Well, I admit I got a bit out of control then. But, yea, I think its fair. The umpire's word is the last word and we should follow them.
DJ: And your thoughts on your team's position?
UA: Yea, I think we are in a good position to win. Nitesh is bowling really well and Shane(No_Remorse) and Zain are looking well settled.
DJ: Ok, thanks mate.
UA: No problem.
Saurav Ganguly
DJ: So, Saurav, first up, your thoughts on the match?
SG: Well, it looks like we should win this one with ease. The bowlers bowled very well -especially the promising youngster Nitesh Hemlani- and we are looking set for a big lead.
DJ: You think you can make up for your failure in the first innings?
SG: Yea, just one thing to say really. Watch out for the century!
DJ: Haha, yea, well, we'll be watching. Good luck Saurav.
SG: Thanks
Imran Khan
DJ: So, Imran, how is it like being a coach?
IK: Well, its fun, its something different, its an enjoyable experience.
DJ: Your thoughts on the match?
IK: We look set for a win. Our bowlers are very good and very promising as they showed in the first innings, and anything above 250-300 would be near impossible for Australia to chase.
DJ: Now, we've heard a lot about this youngster - Nitesh Hemlani. Can you tell us something about him?
IK: Yes, he is a very fine wrist spinner. He is an unusual bowler though, as his stock delivery is the googly. He has good variations -the Top Spinner, Legbreak and a flipper- and is ready to bowl the long spell. He can turn the ball a fair bit, and can bowl at quite a pace too. He is destined for big things.
DJ: Alright mate, thanks. Cheers.
IK: Cheers.
