the outfield at lords isnt doing me any favours, nothing is running to the boundary, im hoping this is good game design that different venues have different out fields because im sure some of these should have made it lol. ive only hit like 3 all innings

Thats why i got low scores at lords i was trying to get 4s and what not but just kept miss timing cos i was getting annoyed with myself

yer im on 99/3 from 24.3 overs and have hit only 2 fours lol. im absolutely certai its because of the outfield being slower than other venues. i had one earlier stop inches from the rope. ive run so many twos its unbelievable

the only way to hit fours at the moment is through lofted shots but they are too risky lol

Got my copy about 40 minutes ago, and early impressions are that it's an ok game. Certainly more playable than BLIC 07. I started on the legends mode, but once I'd learnt the basics jumped straight into the Ashes on hard. Ponting won the toss and decided to field first.

I found Johnson incredibly difficult to play first up, his pace is just so much different to Hilfenhaus at the other end. I've managed to play out 5 overs of Johnson. He's bowled 2 maidens and gone for 12 runs. Hilfenhaus has taken 1/28 off 5 overs as well. After 10 overs I'm 40/2. Cook went early for 5, trying to drive through the covers off Hilfenhaus and only resulted in edging to slip. Then the last wicket lost was that of Bopara, run out (I pressed the wrong button :laugh). Bopara went for 16 from 20 balls. Strauss is currently 17* off 34 balls, with KP at the crease with him, on 0 having only faced the 1 delivery.

It's enjoyable enough so far. I like the batting control scheme, I like the fact that confidence is no longer affected by leaving the ball and I like the fact that the players have the correct bats. I'm sure I'll get a greater feel for the game once I've been playing abit more, so far it's decent enough. Should get a good few hours of play in the future.

nooo bloody spinners are so hard to play, north comes on with 2 overs left for the morning session and gets bopara. 114/4 from 28, fairly realistic score id say
