Retro, Historical and ATB teams

Also, anyone here have any idea on how to accurately create players like Sobers and Davidson and England's own Johnny Wardle who bowled in more than one style? The Sobers on academy is listed as a LHU bowler, which is probably his most interesting style, but he was good enough to make his debut as a SLA bowler and bowled lots of pace too. Davidson was also a pace bowler and a spinner. Think there's a way to create a more hybrid player or does one just have to choose one style for these guys and stick with it?

I've got the 1992 World Cup and 1993/94 South African teams they were great fun to play against I played the back to back tours of that season.

Hi all,

Great thread. I've posted many teams from history and players. The latest is a version of India 1960s all time. I've also done pretty much all touring west Indies teams to England, many Australian, English, South African, Indian, Pakistan teams.

It's great fun and I did a Frank Worrall, but no Constantine Doing the project I've learned about the great South Africans like Colin Bland and Lee Irvine, and Indian bowlers such as Bapu Nadkarni.

Love to see many more.

Currently working on a NZ ATB team- there's actually a lot of pretty exciting material to work with. Bert Sutcliffe, John Reid.

Question: Anyone got Kepler in their Aussie team? Would be funny to see two Wessels whne Aus play SA- and it wont even be a bug! :D

Yeah I have username sid333 as I am currently playing the games when he debuted for Australia

I'm a West Indies buff myself- currently am working on a few players that got left out of the WI ATB XI I got from Get Best. Funnily enough, theres no Frank Worrell or Learie Constantine or even Charlie Griffith in there. PS: Anyone here a Saffers fan? I've been trying to create Endean and Faulkner and Clive Rice and a few others notably missing from the SA ATB lineup. Also trying to put together a 92 SA team- they may not be ATB players but I have always had a very soft spot for Snell and Mcmillian and everyone loves Jonty anyway.

Also, I dont know how helpful this will be, but maybe we can have a show of hands and call out of teams/area of expertise? Would be nice to know whom each of us should be asking or talking to when in doubt over a particular historical team or player. I'm sure a few people will have more than one but then its cricket- room for everyone(unless youre Afghanistan or Ireland, in which case ICC doesnt like you :D)

Rice is in my Rebel Tour teams, and WSC World.

Wessels is in WSC Aus, Aus Rebels 85-87, South Africa 1990, & South Africa WC92.

Snell & McMillan are in some rebel tour teams and South Africa WC92 and Jonty Rhodes is in that WC92 team as well.

The rebel tour sides are a goldmine of 80s players for south Africa.

I've done each of the touring sides (England 82, Arosa Sri Lanka, West Indies 83/84, Aus 85-87 & England 1990), as well as separate SA squads for 82 (covers England & Sri lanka), 83, 84, 85/86, 86/87 & 90.

Additionally I've done some of the teams that played tour matches: S.A. colts & western province 1982 plus presidents xi, invitational xi's & universities xi's from the Australia and England 1990s tours

@blockerdave is there a 70s Aus team around? Like a Chapelli era team? I haven't seen one, and it seems surprising- it was one of the best they've ever had.

There should be quite a few from dbc 14which can be downloaded into DBC 17

In DBC14 i did the 1993 Ashes teams so all those players exist but I haven't made them as teams for 17 yet.

Players only not teams. A lot of the players I took from my 14 created teams are incorrectly linked with the ATB teams in 17 eg Ian Bishop replaced the obvious Curtly Ambrose and I don't want to end up in someones signature because of it.
