Retro, Historical and ATB teams

How does one download from 14 to 17 if youre on console or is it a PC only thing?
You can only download players. When selecting what to download, at the bottom of the page there is an option to select DBC 14 players, it is both console and PC.

Players only not teams. A lot of the players I took from my 14 created teams are incorrectly linked with the ATB teams in 17 eg Ian Bishop replaced the obvious Curtly Ambrose and I don't want to end up in someones signature because of it.

The incorrect linking of DBC14 players to DBC17 players is a bug. One from which I've suffered a lot as nearly all my DBC17 players were imported over from DBC14. It is a ball ache to undo, but can be undone. If you can't see the difference between that and putting yourself forward as a great creator when knowingly and intentionally using incorrect links and messing up the games of others you're an idiot, a proposition which would be consistent with most of your posts.[DOUBLEPOST=1494407166][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm currently looking at putting together some more 80s/90s teams with the intention - once i've completed the rebel tours - of playing through two of England's darkest decades and getting some "official" cricket under my belt.

To this end @Llewelynf has just made me a brilliant old TCCB stumps and lion logo, for which he has (more of) my undying gratitude.

I'll make a more formal list of the teams and stuff shortly.

This. x10000.

You too hey.

I wish there was some sort of scenario creator where you gain the most out of using Retro/Historical teams and try to replicate specific moments of those special series over the years (rather than keep repeating the same test/odi format - which there is nothing wrong with btw).

BLC 99 had it and it was great. It was a good game with very good stats tracking.

I would love a scenario creator

Scenarios from the real life matches come to my mind. That Kevin Peterson scenario from EA '07 I had played so many times. The possibilities are infinite.

Something like playing as a middle order batsman after 3 early wickets lost and you need to save the game or score a minimum to keep your side in contention (net run rate).
Or batting out an entire 5th day of a test match for a draw.

For me it's twofold - yep to recreate historical scenarios: match Atherton's 180 in johannesburg etc. but also, it enables us to "fast forward" games. it's actually very hard to have a FC or test match go the full distance, to have the feeling of I need to take 5 wickets in the last session to force a win, or bat out the last day with 6 wickets on a big turner... you might not even be creating a historic scenario just saying "i want to play this circumstance".

it would be an amazing function.

^ That is certainly one of the main reasons I vouched (and still do) for the option to simulate co-op games online. No one has the time to play a full-blown test match leading into the exciting 4th/5th days of a test.

@GPDave007 The possibilities are certainly infinite - especially if you can share scenarios over the academy (e.g. you have control over AI field settings/who bowls/pitch conditions etc etc). The USER has the ability to set his/her's own parameters in the scenario and therefore have full control over their experience.

If you also look at the above '07 video, I found that those little cut-scenes (fielders shining the ball, possible sledging) in between balls also adds so much to the emersion within the scenario and would be brilliant in a future edition.

but simulation still won't give you a defined outcome. that's why you need a scenario creator.

If the scenario creator is ALSO available as a co-op feature mode online, then brilliant, otherwise the option to at least simulate co-op games would have been the next best thing at least.

Anyway, I don't see a scenario creater being an addition to DBC17 (did you mention the scenario creator in the beta testing group?), whereas I guess it wasn't too hard to ask for a simulate feature to be included for co-op online in the current edition.
