Run outs

I have an issue with run outs when fielding, more specifically when my character is bowling. I know that I can knock the bails off when I receive the ball just by holding the A button, but when there is a chance of a run out, it takes nearly a second between receiving the ball from the fielder to knocking the stumps.

Is there another way to do this so that there is minimal delay between receiving the ball and knocking the stumps? I've missed a fair few run outs because of this.
 
I'm playing on the 360 and have never had a run out. I think that you can ' cue ' the keepers/ bowlers hand to break wicket as the ball is on its way from the fielder. So, for 360, fielder picks up ball....press B to throw to bowlers end...press B again as ball reaches wicket ( but before it's in the bowlers hands).

Run outs has not implemented on console versions yet that annoys me alot but BigAntStudios have promised to fix this along with the problem OP is having in Patch 3.

I'm doing that with every throw that comes to the non-striker's end, but there's still that delay, so I'm not sure if it's a built-in thing, or if my timing's off. I'm playing on PC.

I found with the wicket keepers there was the same delay you are speaking about which always resulted in missed stumping opportunities. I managed to improve on this by increasing the arm speed attribute. So maybe this has a similar effect with fielders?
