India vs England in Kolkata

Here we are in Kolkata on this very poor pitch. The coaches have revealed their teams. The opinion is that it should be a comfortable India win unless Matt West has changed England's One Day fortunes.

Here for the toss

India have won the toss and elected to bat. A very strange decision. Maybe the floodlights factor had something to do with it.

Well India have batted very well on what seemed a very poor pitch. 253 is an amazing score for this pitch, England seem lost.

Sourav Ganguly makes a good One Day comeback with a century.

England could shed some light on their bowling. Chris Tremlett bowled very economically for his figures of 1-37 off of his alloted 10 overs. Jon Lewis also bowled very well, taking 2 wickets for 42.

England shocked all with their innings. They made the 254 target in just under 46 overs.
Some incredible batting from Kevin Pietersen who formed huge partnerships with Marcus Trescothick and debutant Mal Loye.

India appeared to be too fidgety about who they bowled. In all, they used 9 bowlers. And this left Ajit Agarkar underbowled. Rahul Dravid bowled a neat two over spell. It was surprising that he didn't continue further. Ajit Agarkar was the pick of the Indian bowlers in what was, really, scraping the barrel. They need to improve if they want to stay in this Champions Trophy.
W3lshrugby will face a struggle on whether he should keep his job if his team loses every game in this competition (Just to cause tension, won't really happen :))

So, England win comfortably by 8 wickets, and Kevin Pietersen deservedly receives Man of the Match.

wow what a performance by KP, we could have done with another bowler being played really
