Sky Sport Cricket Classics

The Natwest Trophy final? The one where Yuvi and Kaif made their name? If so, I agree. One of the best games I have seen where a team completely out of it came back and won. Hussain's face was priceless, as was Ganguly's chest hair. Umm, yeah.

It was a comeback, but the best thing about the game was how it ebbed and flowed. Sehwag and Co started well and India were flying, only for England to come back into it, before Yuvraj and Kaif did their thing and a wobble at the end.

It's how a ODI should be for me, a decent pitch for batting, but the bowlers doing reasonably well and affecting the game.

They only ever show England vs India 6th ODI last year, that Aus SA game and occasionaly the Twenty20 final from last year.

Nah the don't, I saw West Indies vs South Africa this morning. Charl Langeveldt taking a hat-trick in the final over to win the game for South Africa by 1 run.

I've also seen a natwest series game between England and Australia from 2005 which ended in a tie. Also, a test match between England and South Africa in South Africa which England won, Gibbs made 98, Smith came in low as he had a concussion but couldn't stop England winning.

I've also seen the last C&G final game between Sussex and Lancashire, with Kirtley taking a 5fer. Also a Twenty20 game between Sussex and Hampshire from the first year of the Twenty20, a very low scoring game, Dimi Mascheranas took a few wickets. They show way more games than the 3 you mention.

On that topic, that was some brilliant inswing from Langevelt to take the hattrick. Each ball swung considerably.

Why do they always make the screen really thin when showing Sky Sports Classics? It annoys me

That'd be because they only have a 4:3 (non-widescreen) copy of the match. The really old ones would be because they weren't filmed in widescreen.

They have 3 options with a non-widescreen video feed:

  1. Crop the top and the bottom
  2. Stretch it
  3. Pillerbox it

Thankfully they do the third, hence not losing any picture.

Yeah, butI see the 3 I mentioned the most often by a distance-I've seen those 3 at least more than ten times, the C&G Final twice, the SA test match once, and that Twenty20 once.

I see thanks for the reply.
