So the console users were indeed guinea pigs...

- PC version comes out a month later than console version
- Console gamers complain that PC version seems more finished

Seriously? :facepalm

The problem is that the console version should not have been released in the state it was.

Really, that's you excuse. The shortcomings and bugs are a lot for it to be called a finished game. Just acknowledge you guys scrued up and move on. Hoping for a patch soon.

They have acknowledged it, indeed even in the post you quoted. They're still allowed to add some context to that though.

don't wanna whine. as everyone else does..

just wanna know what the point in sunglasses are if you can't wear them

What makes you think the PC users aren't guinea pigs as well? Not just this game, for any game indeed?

If a subsequent patch is released then by definition the game users were guinea pigs.

Re. DBC 17, it has several significant flaws on the console and it will get a patch. Still, the game isn't as dramatic an entry as DBC14 was (sadly DBC14 is sort of abandoned now given how you get 20fps - 25fps tops on a GTX 1070).

DBC17 has loads of issues but I don't think they really want this to be. I think they're working on fixing the issues and it takes time. I just think that there's some fundamental things I don't appreciate about this game - things like 1 animation per shot regardless of who plays it - from uber opener or skill player to 11th man with no skill and everyone plays the shot the same way with same power and precision etc. Meaning all the players are just clones of each other instead of diff skills/animations coming through.

Apart from that, the game itself is very playable and quite decent. Given there's no other cricket game on the market, we're at the mercy of such developers and have to work with them rather than against them. It is in our own interests for continued cricket games.

@BigAntStudios I hope patch #3 includes these few minor fix:

1- long sleeves shirts, vest, jumper etc variations. Currently the feature doesnt work
2 - in-game audios like waiting, yes, bolwer end, kepper end. I think console version is missing these audios.
3 - sun glasses wearing option is available but doesnt work.

Definitely a County Championship game then...[DOUBLEPOST=1485116203][/DOUBLEPOST]

Always game play over cosmetics any day, everyday.

Console users need to accept the fact that their machines aren't as good and you're never going to match the PC version unless it's horribly optimised (Arkham Knight) Also modding has taken a backward step to make the inferior consoles happy and PC version of RLL3 literally had a beta testing group which DBC 17 might have too.

are you kidding? Most aaa games these days have huge problems on pc but not on ps4. Recent examples- Mafia 3, Resident evil 7 (runs horribly on the highest end pc,no issues ps4)

also this game graphically and content wise could be made on a ps2. The graphics really are horrendous.
Being a minor sport or a minor studio is no excuse for the game looking like it was made in 2004. Look at Rugby league live 3. That game looks fine yet its a more minor sport.

For anyone who thought that the console users were guinea pigs I'd like to end that train of thought with this straight from the horses mouth:

"At the current trajectory the PC game will make a loss - it's only "value" is as a way of testing patches faster than we can on Console"

The PC version exists so that it can test patches for the console version, thankfully steam allows us to permanently remove games from our library but sadly I'm past the refund requirement and very disappointed in myself for buying this game (

That's because those games are made for consoles aren't optimised for PC, they run good on PS4 but it's still not as good as the potential it could have been on the PC version as properly optimised it will always be the superior version that's not even up for debate.

Let's not let the facts get in the way of a story... what's not up for debate is your lack of knowledge on game development.

We develop the game on PC, as does EVERY studio for EVERY console game, it is then ported to the consoles, not the other way around :facepalm

As to whether it's released on PC or makes a profit on PC, that's another matter, and along with piracy protection, the point in question of the other thread you quote.

I too am disappointed, in your continuous trolling, welcome to my ignore list.

The misinterpretation of this statement has been incredible. Pre-release reasons and motivation for release can be mutually exclusive to the post-release assessment of "value".

Indeed. EA have finished quite a few games that they have decided not to release on this or that platform as it didn't make financial sense to do so - in their case the marketing budgets exceed the development budgets by quite a margin. (As above, ALL EA games are developed on PC, very few are released on that platform.)

Well you have my money mate at least. I play totally on PS4 at the moment, but I produce logos, bats etc using the PC version. I could have continued to use the Academy Beta for this, but as a gesture of thanks, I bought the full game. It's the right thing to do IMO even though I will continue to play on PS4.

Thanks @inertSpark - everyone at Big Ant appreciates the support. We are still working on the game, patches will follow that will no doubt improve the experience, and no doubt the broader community appreciates your work.

And thanks to all at Big Ant Studios. I and others suggested a "layer-based" logo creator for DBC 14, and beyond our wildest expectations, you guys delivered in DBC 17. The fact that console players can share our efforts is unreal!!

THAT on top of the core gameplay, which has remained (despite the hyperbole) largely intact. Yes there are things that can be improved, mechanics wise, but I'd hardly call them broken.

Thanks again Ross!
