Guys i have a bit wierd problem.I have a Samsung TSST Dvd writer and works fine but while writing DVD's if i keep the speed more than the minimum speed of the DVD(normally its 2X)the Burn process fails.I use nero 7 i think not sure though which is provided with the DVD ROM.I bought it around 7 to 9 months ago.

I have a another big problem. My rightclick isn't working neither is most of my control panel.

The menu of 'arrange icons my modified, refresh, undo move, etc..', comes up when I rightclick, but when I click on anything it just doesn't load. E.g, when I click on my peoperties because I want to change the wallpaper, I cannot because it doesn't appear/load. Also when I wanted to change the display settings via the control panel, it wouldn't let me because once again it didn't load.

SO basically I cannot change themes, etc.

Do I have some sort of virus? :(

Download and Install Avast antivirus. It is free, and quite good. If there is any virus you can expect avast to find out.

Also Download Spybot Search and Destroy to remove system spywares.

Thanks Abhas. It worked! It deleted about 50 Trojan infected files (lol), and now even that useless piece of crap IE is working...!

Hello guys! Yeah once again something's amiss!:(

I can't access my favourite torrent sites. Virus is unlikely. Spyware? Maybe!. But I'd like to know if there are any specific files I can check which might have been modified. It could also be my ISP(Tata Indicom), which might have blocked them. How do I find out if that is so? I can access these sites through a proxy site just fine.

Pc Playing Up!

Hi Guys!

My desktop is being silly lately,it has been running slowly for a while and i ran a full antivirus scan and anti spyware scan and shifted some spyware,then i got a brief blank screen but it settled down 4 that session.Then last week I booted up only 2 see a `the system has recovered from a serious error` message and i did the `send to microsoft error reporting` thing and it told me i needed a new graphics card driver which i d/l.Then today i booted up but the system was dreadfully slow so i rebooted and the same error message came up `serious error etc` and it suggested the same driver d/l which i have done or switching off the graphics acceleration feature in the display settings,I've done that but now i can't run any of my games on the pc.

I would appreciate any advice please.

My system is a 2GB RAM Packard-Bell with 3GHZ Intel Pentium D Windows XP MC Edition and the graphics card is NVIDIA GEForce 7300 SE/7200 GS.

Cheers.

Im not sure if this is a problem guys but after measuring my computer temps after 10-20 mins after bootup i found that they were surprisingly high,

Core0= 62 deg
Core1= 57
Core2= 61
Core3=55

Is this right or am i overreacting. What could be the problem. It doesnt seem to be hot though and runs very stable.
