South Africa Tour of Pakistan 2021

Need to break this partnership as soon as possible. 150 will be a daunting target.
Well bowled in the end. That second wicket partnership looked like it could turn the match around, but great comeback by the spinners.

23-2, here we go!

SA have only themselves to blame for an inevitable defeat. Just batted poorly in the first innings after a ok-ish start, and despite Markram and Rassie playing really well in the second innings for much of Day 3 their middle order let them down. I think QDK is batting a position too high and he should move down to 6 so he can play more like himself with some more freedom. Push Bavuma or bring some other guy in to bat at 5. What happened to Klaasen? An attacking spinner to support Maharaj, like Shamsi could strengthen their bowling attack a bit more.

I know Shoaib Akhtar is asking who is answerable for Fawad's omission all these years. I know its a bigger, systemic problem in the PCB but I'll just leave this here since Shoaib Akhtar will never call out his buddy.

The bigger question is who's hired him in the media to give his opinions?

Shamsi was injured last moment. If Bavuma is going to bat 8, I don't get the point?

What happened to Zaman, Sharjeel and Imad?

Fakhar has been in awful form, Sharjeel is too fat, simply put, and Imad asked for a rest.

Also, can’t believe the PCB excluded Hafeez because he would’ve joined the bubble 3 days later. Just have him tested, and include him? He's in the form if his life.

Okay so the South African Test side is a bit of a shambles, and I was having a think about what I'd do to fix it (and try to meet the quotas, which I'm going to assume are three and six)

:saf: :bat: Dean Elgar
:saf: :bat: Aiden Markram :c:
:saf: :bat: Rassie van der Dussen
:saf: :bat: Quinton de Kock
:saf: :bat: Zubayr Hamza
:saf: :bat: Temba Bavuma
:saf: :wk: Simethemba Qeshile
:saf: :ar: Bjorn Fortuin
:saf: :bwl: Keshav Maharaj
:saf: :bwl: Kagiso Rabada
:saf: :bwl: Anrich Nortje

This is the best I could do for subcontinent Tests

So basically what you're saying is, they're utterly gimped for the subcontinent

Yes. The TL;DR is that they're not a good team because their players aren't very good (and the commitment to a quota makes the team even harder to balance)
