Mon 27th Oct - 3rd ODI

Potentially early preparation for the world cup finalist here...

Terrible innings from Guptill, 5 from 29 balls.

Philander is bowling very nicely.

Guptil is a bit like Samuels. When he is going well it is hard to stop him but when he is not, he will put the non striker under so much pressure because he can't rotate the strike that well. I think NZ will have to get Jesse Ryder back at the opening slot if they want to win the World Cup. They need his firepower at the top of the order and he is a very good ODI player. If they have this 11 for the WC, I will be backing them to win the WC.

Jesse Ryder
Martin Guptil/Jimmy Neesham
Kane Williamson
Ross Taylor
Brendon McCullum
Corey Anderson
Luke Ronchi
Dan Vettori/Nathan McCullum
Tim Southee
Kyle Mills/Matt Henry
Mitchell McClenaghan

Poor Ronchi .. getting out on 99 after a fab knock under pressure

..

Boult on fire in the mean time. Superb bowling

Yeah I agree, also I think his bowling has improved now (he bowled quite a bit for Essex last season) although he is lazy in the field.

That was Rilee Rossouw's 3rd golden duck in only his 5th ODI [HASHTAG]#QuackQuack[/HASHTAG]

Some were touting New Zealand as potential favourites for the World Cup, I don't think so based on these performances.

To be fair to them they are missing quite a few players due to injury and lack the depth.

Reasonable happy with SA performance still not 100% convinced by either miller or rossouw so that last spot is still up for grabs. Also need to finish teams of, nz has escaped from 9 down twice now.

Our two most crucial batsmen are missing and we don't have a second opener as well. I didn't expect us to perform too well in this series

Easy, just slot Jesse Ryder in there.

The team don't want to sacrifice the atmosphere they have just for Ryder. Which I guess is a valid concern but it just makes us fans of the team a bit aggrieved that we have such a good player sitting on the sidelines

Sad if that's the case. Good management should be able to handle difficult characters like ryder,kp,ect Cricket seems to be lacking in that department thought.
